I think the net spend just gives us a comparative and easy to understand figure.

Id love to know the commitment we face on transfer stage payments and wages for the playing staff broken down for the coming individual years

Disagree.
I think as a club we absolutely should've been pointing out some of the PGMOL's pretty large discrepancies, which in turn might've convinced some fans to review whether he was always guilty of recklessness or sometimes reputation. No-one ever talks about how he went 2024/25 with only 3 yellows in the league and 2 in the EL.
He had one red card under Ange in the PL, that Chelsea one.
The way the narrative is written, the guy was getting sent off every month.
In fact, during Ange's time, Bissouma got way more yellows than Romero and two reds, yet he is referred to merely as lacking elite concentration.

I think we should've supported our skipper more. By the end of Frank's term, it felt like he wasn't in control of anything Romero was doing!!!!
Anyway, just my view mate...

I've long said our club is way too supine in our attitude to authority.
I find it difficult to argue with any Romeros red cards, if our players were tackled like that I would want a red, what tinkles me off is that others get away with it and worse but Romero is singled out and the club doesn't speak out.
We really need to up our game in this area.

A lot of this is based on reported wages, transfer fees and what the typical signing on and agent fee would be.

Tonali - £29M
Fernandes - £26M
Savio - £22M
van Hecke - £14M
Marmoush - £12M
Robertson - £9M
Senesi - £8M
Tosin - £7M
Murdyk - £5.5M
Dubravka - £1.5M
£134M

+ we have added about £15M more to the wage bill from Kinsky, Porro & VDV deals.

I think both yourself and many others like @thfcsteff know my views on PGMOL.

I was incredibly disappointed with Levy for not addressing the PGMOL issues at both his club's level and the great PL. Daniel had high status amongst the PL executives within the PL. He was even appointed as their representive at the European level (ECA). I fully backed both Pool and the Gooners when both made public statements of discontent of PGMOL and made guys like Mike O'Riley and Howard Webb have meetings with their clubs about the refereeing quality. It is no coincidence that guys like Gabriel and VVD have done exactly the same as Romero and never received red cards. It is because their clubs had cojones and basically told guys like Webb that if they want to continue in their role and continue to get supported financially then they needed to sort their s hit out. Spurs have been treated a lot worse than those 2 clubs ever were. I can even remember Nuno's Forest getting absolutely stuck into the integrity of the officiating. They picked up a fine as nobody backed them.

Personally, I don't think we're anywhere near sorting out the officiating challenges in the PL. I think we're in for another rough season ahead. I don't mean just Spurs either.

I have recommended for a long time that our club hire a proper analyst to sit on the bench every match with the tablet in hand. Let the Sky cameras see we're addressing it,. I have recommended that our club publicly publish metrics on the referee's performances against the laws of the game every single match.

I want my club to be the disrupter back to PGMOL and make sure they know we are measuring their every move and won't tolerate their incompetence.

Is that how the amortisation works then? The initial fee is spread over the (for example) 5 year contract, and if they sign another 5 year contract after 3 years then the whole fee is spread over 8 years?

The remaining would be yes. Or in the example of Tonali who signed a 6 year deal, they will reset it against after the 1st season.
 
With the loss of Sarr, Romero, Richie, danso, Spence and even Vic we have lost some of our identity and connections.
The results of the last two seasons mean that may not be a bad thing, they have to carry some of the responsibility for that, and with maddison and kulu out injured we really need to hope someone steps up and really gives the support a hero to bond with.
We've signed a few who have the potential to be the next bale, Modric or ginola if only in the affections of the fans if not actual talent. Those are high benchmarks, so no shame to not quite hit them.
Let's embrace these players and give them something to play and fight for, only they can put us back to where we want to be.

What was out identity? May not be a bad thing? Id say it's a good thing despite me personally being a fan of a number of those players.

This squad just wasn't working and it needed the surgery. Having done such dramatic work it is going to be painful initially but it was neccesary so that we could move on and move past our recent level.

It's easy to argue that our identity was a weak and loser club. certainly lots of people, some respected, some just mouthy clams, have said so.
The conundrum is whether it was the club affecting the players or the players bringing it to the club. Most likely both, a bad combination.
We badly needed a clear out, from very top to bottom, but bonds are forged in adversity and the last two seasons we have had our fair share of adversity.
Some players gave us something to cling to, it was obvious they were hurting as well, it did feel like they were one of us.
We now need to give the new players that opportunity, hopefully with less adversity.
