The important point with Farage is not to obsess on the technicalities of the allegations so they appear to be things that only matter to the so called “Westminster bubble.” It is important to explain in simple terms why they matter. For example are they suggestive of the very real threat that he is being courted by crypto billionaires, to further liberalise already weak controls on our digital media? It is also important to explain simply why Reform’s links to Russian money is important.
Unfortunately critics of Farage are not as adept at communicating their criticisms to lay people (other than claiming he’s a racist) as he is at brushing them off. To really expose him and hurt his popularity the critics have to speak in language that can be grasped by everyday people to highlight the damage he will inflict on their lives. Until the press start doing that, all of this is just hot air that will not lay a glove on Nigel.
