Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

The important point with Farage is not to obsess on the technicalities of the allegations so they appear to be things that only matter to the so called “Westminster bubble.” It is important to explain in simple terms why they matter. For example are they suggestive of the very real threat that he is being courted by crypto billionaires, to further liberalise already weak controls on our digital media? It is also important to explain simply why Reform’s links to Russian money is important.

Unfortunately critics of Farage are not as adept at communicating their criticisms to lay people (other than claiming he’s a racist) as he is at brushing them off. To really expose him and hurt his popularity the critics have to speak in language that can be grasped by everyday people to highlight the damage he will inflict on their lives. Until the press start doing that, all of this is just hot air that will not lay a glove on Nigel.

TBF he is starting to look flustered if that Airport incident is anything to go by

It was obvious Reform would topple like a house of cards. But i would have given them longer than 12 months. More Frank than Ange
Yeh, I was confident something would happen, but this is WAAAAAAAAAAAAY earlier than I thought, I thought they would ride the wave of their polling success longer, they won't keep any kind of lead now as it will either be Zia or the other bloke who got cooked all weekend. Without Farage they are toast

Robert Generic is really lightweight

The person this really benefits is Badenoch, who might do a reasonable job of salvaging a Duncan-Smith level showing at the next GE

Same. But he's in a hole so he will be gambling with as much incendiary rhetoric as he can to try and shift the conversation. I'm excited and scared.
The judgement on Prince Harry's phone-tapping case is due to be announced anytime now. That will likely overshadow Farage's statement, for a bit at least, especially if as expected the ruling is against Harry.

Nick Robinson may be on the mark here.
If Farage is found guilty by the Parliamentary Standards Commission, it would likely trigger a by-election anyway. So he gets ahead of the game.

Then again, that will bring him under even more scrutiny as he will have to deal with all the questions he wants to avoid.
