***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur FC v Everton, Sun May 24th, 4.00pm, The Lane***

Yet somehow Chelsea have mastered it 🤔

Or even Liverpool managing to sell Coutinho for £105m and parlaying that transfer fee into signing van Dijk and Salah who were instrumental in them winning 2x EPL plus a CL 🏆🏆🏆

Meanwhile we desperately clung onto Eriksen until his contract was about to expire and effectively ended up releasing Dele on a free, as he never made enough appearances at Everton in order for them to owe us even the £10m minimum fee 💸 How different Dele’s career path might’ve been had he been allowed to join Pochettino at PSG…

Coutinho is always one of those that I never truly understand. He was decent. Then had half a season of being truly unstoppable and then moved for over £100m. The fee seemed exaggerated for what I valued him at at the time but I must not have given him true value? But then he hardly did anything after leaving Liverpool so

Today is the day. I hope all of our players are well rested and ready to go. There’s a hero in our squad that’s waiting to be announced today but who will it be.

Hopefully today is the day that Muani does an Adebayor in order to try and secure a decent loan for next season, as surely he must realise that there’s sod all chance of him ever starting for PSG or France again if he doesn’t pull his finger out.

@Kenyan Spur : I see you are on the board : are you still doing your fantastic-sounding match-day BBQs washed down with Tusker beer?
If you are, it would be great to know what you have in store for tomorrow.
Reading what you had planned always felt like a bit of a match thread ritual.
Sorry, I haven't been doing those this season.
This is mainly because I and all my friends have been living through this dreadful season seeing our beloved Spurs really struggling.
Hopefully, we will stay up and start the new season as usual.
However, Tusker Lager is still being drunk.

The day is here , nervous. Maybe it’s the situation we are in, but all I can think about is some of the last day of the season horror shows we’ve had. West Ham and Saudi Sportswashing Machine come to mind instantly.

If I had to put money on it. Championship bound is where I’d have us at 6pm this evening. Can’t see who puts the ball in the net for us.

Leeds missing a few does not help. See them losing down the road.

Glad to hear that at least!

Whatever you do today, wherever you are watching, this place has been (generally) a blast this season. Here is to you, your families, your health and the Spurs.

To you too. Remember that at the end, we are spectators to all that happens. We have no real control and whilst we are on the roller coaster of emotions, football is a lot less important than most of our personal life activities. Life continues whatever the outcome. So echoing what you said, I hope everyone is happy and healthy in their own lives. And that we can all celebrate later.

I’m trying to convince myself that «going down isn’t so bad», but come kickoff I’m going to be standing in the sofa screaming at the TV. The prospect of no VAR next season is quite enticing, but where’s the pride in that. We need to stay up and play the big boys.

My only other quantum of solace is that there are no nearby goons or anyone to gloat. Any pain will be mine to endure in solitude (and on here)
COYS
I'm surrounded by them Sir and Chavs too who love rubbing salt into wounds. So if you don't mind, if we go down, I'll be joining you in Sosua for a few weeks. But only after I've let the air out on the Arsenal parade bus's tyres.

46 years a supporter, so not quite as long as you. This is the most stressed I've ever been. Let's cheer the boys on from whichever corner of this planet we are watching them.

Another bout of IBS has kicked in, thanks to Spurs and a few other factors

More sickening though is seeing the Sky ads every break for the The Battle to stay up. They got what they wanted. (The battle for 6th was never going to sell their product)
You can call me paranoid (granted we dont help ourselves), but I swear Sky have engineered this, 2 VAR decisions in the last 2 games denying us a penalty (towing the line for Sky, just one awarded and this would be a non-event today.

Said it a few days ago, I am convinced there is going to be a late penalty in one of the 2 games if its still in the balance heading into stoppage time
