+++ OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Sunderland 12th April 2026 +++

Hope you are right mate. The season feels like it is unraveling like a twisted Greek tragedy. The Goons to win the League in the same season we are relegated and relegated at Stamford bloody Bridge of all places. It will be humiliating but fudge them I’ll support my team whatever happens. But the likes of Vinai and Lange have to go.
Pod got it spot on with Lange's smug self-confident "we didn't panic in January". Pride comes before a fall. Last time we were remotely in a similar situation come January we signed Palacios, Keane, Defoe, Chimbonda and Cudicini....if there was ever a time to go f*cking nuts in a transfer window it was in January (after sacking Frank). They are staring down the barrel of a £250m loss

My friend...hope I am right too!!!!

Well here we are. finally reaching the bottom 3 and no win this year and we are in the middle of April. Can we win 4 games? I am not confident at all. But its not just about us, its about the other teams. We desperately need some momentum. Away to Sunderland is not an easy game. We are still carrying a ton of injuries. Another manager and another set of tactics. I need to see this game before I can fully feel what the future has for us. It feels ominous. Everything conspiring against us in one way or another.

Im numb. The jokes dont hurt because watching us this season has been painful. We need a turning point. No matter how we get it. I hope its this sunday.

I don’t think Sunday is a must win - a point at Sunderland with our current form and injuries would be a good one. Yes we’d still be in relegation places but that’s ok, for now.

The two absolute must wins if we’re to even think about getting out of this is Leeds and wolves, otherwise we need to start calling games at Chelsea must wins which unfortunately would mean we were pretty much doomed

I think people have been too focused on West Ham because they happen to be the team third bottom - I said months ago I don't think they will go down.

If we win tomorrow and I know that's a big if, we go not just back above West Ham but Leeds who have to go to Man U on Monday and above Forest if they don't beat Villa.

There's more teams to look at than just West Ham....

We need soemthing from tomorrow desperately, Forest have Burnley and Leeds have Wolves coming up at home, we lose tomorrow and GHod forbid they get even a point at the weekend we end up heaping more pressure on the Brighton game.

Table dynamics 100% plays into this time in the season, visually being in the bottom 3 either galvanise or adds fear, we will see tomorrow which

To use that old cliche we can only take one game at a time. The other obvious cliche is that we have 7 cup finals.

The problem is that before when we were taking one game at a time it never felt like the boys were playing a cup final. It didn't feel like they were going to crawl off that pitch for the shirt. It didn't feel like they were setup for a one-off massive game and even wanted to execute the tactics that they were paid to do. Worse still, it has always felt like losing is acceptable. That seemed to be a carry forward from Ange putting all the eggs in the EL basket and allowing us to be really loose at the weekends. It then carried on with Frank who was just sending signals to his players that eventually something will click, so don't worry about things. That was Ange as well to be fair. We simply have to change this culture at Spurs.

Interestingly, the Sunderland game does feel a bit different to me. The international break has made that Forest result a long time ago. The new manager coming in has added freshness to the entire place. If there was ever an opportunity to get the Men In Black neuralizer pen out and reset a few players heads it was these last couple of weeks. RDZ doesn't seem the type to like losing. Even if we get a much deserved point at Sunderland he'll be suffering as we didn't win. That's what our club needs.

Leeds are the one team i think may be actually worse than us. That's where my tiny amount of remaining hope lies

I feel exactly the same, and it’s also why this summer needs to be the biggest reset this football club has ever had regardless of what division we are in.

The problem with that is we will probably still have the chuckle brothers in charge who have next to no football knowledge at all.

We have to hope that RDZ takes a strangle hold on proceedings.

I think Forest have the worse run in. But of course none of it matters if we don't get our act together and start winning; that is by far the biggest concern. Really hope Madders and Kulu get some game time in the run in.

Agreed mate. But as I say the only team to really worry about is us. We have to stem this run we are on. I hope RDZ makes us tighter defensively. That has to be the starting point for a team fighting relegation.
