Conor Gallagher

Looked shattered yesterday. Was still running, but had the running style of an exhausted Scott Parker out there.

He was poor, no doubt. But I'm guessing that's partly fitness/inury/similar problems and that this also contributed to how poor he was on the ball.

I did point out when we signed him he’s generally not a ball player. He doesn’t really want it in tight spots and doesn’t have a passing range. He’s a busy presser, that’s it.

By the way, Newc scored from the poorly hit pass.

He's not looked fit since he arrived. Maybe he enjoyed the tapas too much and will need a bit longer to adjust back

None of them are particularly good passers of the ball, so that's what happens.

When I was at the West Ham game I noticed that even Simons was underhitting through passes too, I'm beginning to think that the nWHL pitch is actually cursed 👿

He isn't a quality ball player, but he also imo isn't as bad at it as he was yesterday.

Poor pass from Gallaher led to the goal, he is not the only one , watch Romero's attempted left foot pass leading to Liverpool's 1st goal.
Every match someone makes yet another poor error , against Man U it was Romero getting sent off.
1st half v City first Bissouma just runs into trouble losing ball end result 1st City goal then Ragusin slack pass and we get 2nd City goal.
We can go back over so many games , Fulham game Vicario responsible with a stupid attempted clearance , the list is endless.

But anyone who has played football knows that fatigue affects your passing and shooting. That is what happened with that pass from Gallagher.

They did, but it went back to the keeper first, there were plenty of reset chances.

Glad we signed yet another dogged midfielder instead of a ball-player and a journeyman attacker who clearly cannot wait to be back in Paris … well done to the glorious transfer committee 👏

I think Conor Gallagher is a decent signing but he needs a ball player around him. None of our players look particularly good atm so easy to write the decent ones off.

If we avoid relegation and finally sign a ball-playing CMF plus a left footer (with a bit more experience than some talented Brazilian teenager) then perhaps Gallagher will come good but he’s not what this squad needed in January.

The problem is he was only available then. We should have signed him and another. I agree on his own he wasn't going to improve us many said so at the time
