Souza

If that's the case, remember we're not allowed to loan him to the UK this same window. He'd need to go to France or Germany or somewhere. It's the thing that happened to Spence when we first signed him.

Also though, remember what happened with Murillo at Forest and how quickly he hit the ground running arriving at the same age.

Sure, who knows, he may be good enough. It’s not like a lot of our guys are performing at a high level at the moment anyway.

I didn't realise Murillo was so young, he looks more like an overweight has been (and then is very fast when sprinting!)

He came over aged 21.
He had only played 13 games for Corinthians! Made his debut in April and was signed in August, WTF?!

Murillo made his Série A debut on 29 April 2023, starting in a 2–1 away loss against rivals Palmeiras.[6] He quickly became a regular starter under head coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo during the season, attracting interest of several European clubs, such as Napoli, Emirates Marketing Project and West Ham United.[7]

Nottingham Forest

On 31 August 2023, Murillo signed with Premier League side Nottingham Forest on a five-year deal for an undisclosed fee.[8] His fee was reported as €12 million with an additional €3 million in potential add-ons.[9] Murillo made his debut against Brentford on 1 October 2023, five weeks after his arrival

I googled him and saw this article on spurs-web. I hadn't seen this elsewhere, is it true?

Although there has been no club announcement as of yet, Souza is going to become a Spurs player, but he still wants to ensure those at Santos understand what they mean to him.

Souza has done this by giving up the 25 per cent share of economic rights he owned (Diário do Peixe).

Souza and his family could have pocketed a quarter of his £13m transfer fee (£3.25m), but the player has instead decided to let Santos keep the total sum, instead of just 75 per cent of it.

This decision has been made by Souza as a token of his appreciation, rather than as an obligation. The club are responsible for his development, and it is his hope that they invest the additional income into their academy structure to help the players of tomorrow.

Some players see a move to the Premier League as an opportunity to load their bank account, but if all Souza cared about was money, then he would not have given Santos his 25 per cent.

This action says a lot about the 19-year-old, and it shows he is joining Spurs because he wants to develop and reach the highest level of the game.

Anyway, I am sick of people saying Parra-teeeechy and Pow-leenya

Souza is pronounced to rhyme more with Grocer, than Chooser.

Its Portugese, not Spanish.

Its also Brazilian, not Portuguese. In Brazilian you pronouce the vowel at the end, in Portugese you dont. So it is Souz-ah. Just like Sousaphone

Meh, I changed the video up above. I didn't realise I had copied the Spanish one.

Still rhymes more with Grocer than Soozer

Very late but better than never

I like souza's profile - strong, mobile and good on take-ons

I see him replacing udogie for good by next season.
