I remember this moment so vividly...
Yep Joe Jordan assaulted Milija Aleksic & dislocated & fractured his jaw Hoddle went in goal we played with 10 men. I always liked Aleksic thought he was a better keeper than Daines but that's not saying much.Hoddle was in goal for over an hour and we didn't concede? Damn!

Yes, the same man. Jordan was a brute of a CF for United. Toothless uncompromising warrior. The same Joe Jordan we had with Redknapp? So we didn't have any subs left? Was there only one sub allowed back then or is that even further back? As someone who started consciously following Spurs in the mid 90's its fascinating to hear stories from the times before that.
I do remember watching it live on tv at the time. Remember being surprised at how well Leicester played considering they were effectively a man down for most of the game. We got lucky that Chalmers was crippled so early on. Was not convinced at the time we would have won it otherwise. Was a great watch, I don't remember everything being black and white at the time or seeing televised games, seeing Danny Blanchflower was a real treat, I just can't imagine any current footballer being as articulate as him today.
