When all these twitter post appear, you know it means that the selling club and/or player want the world to know. Spurs won't want the world to know.

Rather than these tweets signaling that we're about to sign the player in question, you should take it that the selling club and/or player in question is seeking more interest, and we're the fall back option!

I get all of their recent success. I’m just not convinced that going forward we need to accept the prestige argument as a reason we would lose out to them.

We have a bigger stadium. We have a big history and huge fan base. I’m not convinced that prestige would / should be the reason we would lose a player to Chelsea. Lower wages offered, less chance of immediate trophies, I can understand those arguments. But we have it in our control to impact those variables too. And I’m not convinced prestige on its own should be a reason.
