Knee jerk reaction, but I think it's vital we get Savinho and/or Eze. It really showed when Kudus went off tonight that we don't really have anyone else in the squad that can carry the ball forward and hold on to it whilst being dangerous.

Aye I'm not saying we should even pay it but there's kind of no point arguing about it. City don't want to sell the player so if we are genuinely interested we need to entice them to make the sale and that going be by making them an offer they feel like they can't refuse. Now what that figure is, only City know but I can't see it being cheap considering his age and performance level already.
Btw he's quite a different entity to the players you mentioned. Casimiro was clearly moving into last leg territory so a bad move there and Anthony was just crazily over priced, he was only ever an ok player. Savio is levels above him already.

His name is actually Savio, but they put Savinho on his shirt when he came to City.
I know him as Savio because I watched him at Girona.
100% this, City don't need to sell but are happy too if they can get decent money for him (they probably have someone in mind as a replacement) so we either need to pay up or move on. I doubt the player is angling for a move away either so it's in our court.
I think he'd be a great signing, good age and level of experience and looks pretty talented.

If City told us they want 80 and we offer 50 then yes that is lowballing them, we are talking about EUR so that would be a lowball offer regardless. But we have no idea if we were quoted that price then bid, if it was just our opening offer without any indication of what City want then no problem....
