Lost Mango

I couldn't find the video either or any recent announcement by the EU on criminalising the criticism of migration. Would like the link as well please.
Good to see for once the MSM calling him out on it tooStarmer looks to be really rattled by Farage.

His popularity among the labour base has tanked, and rightly so. Those borrowed votes are gone too for good. I think some on here had hoped he would pivot away from some of the more divisive rhetoric when he got in office. And in some ways, he has, but mostly in the wrong direction. He is betraying core labour values at every turn now.Not surprised, he really has no ideas or conviction at all. Constantly flip flops and goes whichever way the wind is blowing. Amazing he has such a big majority and there's so many things that need sorting out Labour should be relishing getting things done and transforming the country.

Yes, there is a long way to go but the signs are not good. Streeting is no better IMO.There's still more than 4 years to go. I doubt he'll be the leader going into the next GE - he will have passed the office to either Streeting or someone more from the centre or centre-left of the party by then
Unsure if this is the right thread, but reports in the Sunday Times today that the MoD are in advanced sensitive talks with the US to agree a deal to purchase a squadron of F35As (we currently only use the F35B which is the STOVL version) and an associated stockpile of B61 thermonuclear gravity bombs (which the F35A can deploy but the F35B can't). These are tactical battlefield nuclear warheads.
This has come out of the strategic defence review and would plug a gap in tactical nuclear strike capability.
Would represent a return to aircraft launched nuclear strike capability after a circa 30 year gap and the most significant uplift in any western country's nuclear weapons capability since the cold war.
Well as with all nuclear weapons, we all hope its a massive waste of money. ...A few billion pounds to rot in a field in Wiltshire for the next couple of millions of years.
Everyone dies either way, so might as well spend the money on education and clean energyWell as with all nuclear weapons, we all hope its a massive waste of money. ...
b61s are low yield tactical warheads, strategic warheads are the "everybody dies" variety. Trident warhead could destroy the whole of Moscow, a b61 could destroy a bloc of the city....Everyone dies either way, so might as well spend the money on education and clean energy

I said ages ago....Starmer is 100% someone you would want within your government (certainly in a minister role) but he's just not a leader. He just doesn't have any ideas or vision for what he wants the country to become, I'm not sure why he wanted to be PM actually. Even if I don't agree with someones beliefs I can respect them when there's a plan and vision to rally behind but I don't really see one. Trying to please too many people and avoiding big decisions with more reviews and quangos etc.
They have done some good things with planning for example and are hamstrung with a lack of finances but they could show so much more ambition.
I do think if they can't either reduce immigration (especially illegal) or make a positive case for it before the next election then they'll be voted out - rightly or wrongly it soaks up all the headlines and shows no signs of stopping.
On a side note....'ambition' will usually struggle without cold hard cash. Especially if you want to go down the genuine and honest route also.He just doesn't have any ideas or vision for what he wants the country to become, I'm not sure why he wanted to be PM actually. He's definitely playing a poor hand moderately and with the least inspiration possible! A modern day John Major!I said ages ago....Starmer is 100% someone you would want within your government (certainly in a minister role) but he's just not a leader.
Looking forward to the confidentialty breach claims, the GDPR breach claims and the industrial tribunals for staff they threaten to sack for not complying with their requests.Looking forward to seeing how much wasteful spending Reform find in Kent council.
