I remember it clearly!!!! It was absolutely prevalent, here too. I will say (again) I was one of the few who did not. I actually couldn't believe it, and STILL think that scraping 4th that season as well as getting to the final was an incredible, incredible achievement. He was taken for granted.

4th, first European Cup Final in our clubs 120+ year history, 18 months without a signing and navigating a stadium move.............yeh poor that ey.

Even now people spout utter drivel about what that bloke navigated here.

Yeah, our atmospheres really suck. Selhurst Park is the only place that gets anywhere close to the standard in europe and south america
 
I think he will go down as our manager with the worst record in the PL. Part of the reason is we usually sack managers at the first sign of trouble but he was allowed to stay on although it was quite clear (at least to me) what was going to unfold. So that's the irony - you can't really compare him with past managers because somehow he gets more time when the results don't quite match expectations.

I agree with you. Perhaps it's about seeing the glass half full or half empty, but it was obvious to me half way through the second half of last season that he wasn't up to the job. We had been sussed out by all the managers, and he didn't have a plan B. This season he has attempted to be a little more pragmatic, but the problem is he doesn't know how to do it. Celtic suited him perfectly, as he had the best players in a rubbish league.

A bit like Arteta. When things going your way he is a delight to the press, but as soon as a loss or things not going your way he can be a taco. Unfortunately we have seen the majority of Ange being a taco because of the amount of losses and things not going his way. That has just stuck with me and it's not good for all involved.

I'm sure he will find somewhere where he is loved again, but his arrogance and his attacking of fans has made him a target for spurs fans now. Most of it his own doing.

You know what those issues come down to? Levy. And that is where the disconnect is. Because fans can only really properly voice their displeasure at matches which is to the detriment of players and team. It creates a toxic environment at the ground which is never going to breed success. Abusing players/managers at games is not going to help anyone and isn't going to affect Levy either, there will always be other fall guys before him. You can only really affect things by voting with your wallet, but the majority will never do that.....

You can visit it in the other stuff when you miss it when people can argue over if we were wrong to get rid as he lifts the title with Celtic
