If they had signed: Jack Grealish

No idea what his issues are at the moment, but I hope he comes out ok. Seems like a really good person behind the facade of playboy footballer.

He really is a good egg, which makes his down fall a shame.

People simply don't separate hype/promise from final product. What a player is/was at 19-21 almost has no bearing on what they will be at 25-28.

Grealish, Mount, Foden, Sancho, Rashford, Smith Rowe, list goes on and on .. all next big thing, none became that elite or top level PL that can hold down a starting spot on a challenging team.

I always though David Bentley could have become a top class player, for whatever reasons it never really worked out for him.

Signing Grealish that summer could have made a big difference to how long had been able to stay for imo.

The players looked shattered by the end of the 2018-18 and just squeezed an extra ounce to get us over the top 4 line that season in the expectation we were no longer going to be playing at Wembley; you could see it imo from Eriksen's post match interview after that last Leicester game with his "see you next season" message.

Grealish would have given Poch some options in that midfield after that world cup summer when i think many of our players were mentally and physically shattered.

Oh well.
