Naughty Emirates Marketing Project - Spot of Compo??

That would be fantastic but it would need for fans to forget about watching their team and realise what City have done to whatever integrity there is left in the sport. Too big an ask.
Better to appeal to the tribal instincts and turn up with banners and chanting "Your just a bunch of cheats" etc throughout the game. See how the media ignore it

Don’t think that would have any impact.

Sad thing about this season is that if City don’t win it, Woolwich are the likely benefactors. That’s become less unpalatable reading this judgement but it’s still unpalatable.

If City were to win the league this season, it would be an incredible show of mental strength from Maresca and his players. The bad feeling it’s generated, the abuse they’ll get, the knowledge that whatever they do, the achievement will always be tainted and questioned. To overcome that would be incredible. It’d be grotesque, embarrassing and wrong for them to win the league this season but part of me would admire their players if they do it.

This issue is not about who wins the league, I couldn't care who wins the league this is about long term cheating.

There are lots of issues here but a club under this cloud winning the league would be catastrophic PR. The media around it every week, the PL having to hand them over a trophy while this is going on, the feeling of being cheated from clubs, fans and players being exacerbated every week. It can’t be allowed to happen.

You are spot on there

A Guard of Dishonour.

Who it affected the most (just European qualifications), interesting, it's us for CL mostly, followed by Everton (for EL spots)

When it comes to European football, it’s not just years in which you miss out on qualification, participation money is based on your final league position, so any year a club qualified but finished behind Emirates Marketing Project they would’ve have a claim for missed CL revenue.

Just wondering where the law stands on the Etihad Airways threat to sue the Premier League, it's not the PL that have reached the verdicts , it is the three person independent panel which is almost the equivalent of an English Civil court of law considering the standing of those on the panel ( names not yet released).
In the findings published so far , this has to be the stand out statement.

29) We concluded that the majority of the witnesses of fact who gave evidence before us were doing their best to provide honest evidence and to assist us in our determination of the Charges.

However, as set out principally in that Appendix 6 we concluded

a) That evidence given by a number of important factual witnesses called to give evidence on behalf of the Club was false in a number of key respects, and
b) That certain of those factual witnesses had given evidence at the hearing that they knew to be untrue and so had been dishonest.

It's gonads. Their courtcase in america they argued they couldn't be sued as they were a part of the state of uae. Now they are saying they're not funded or a part of the state.
It's just the uae telling the pl, go lenient or we could hit you with loads of law suites for years to come. Even if they have no chance of winning them.

I do hope this gentleman was on the three person panel finding City guilty or if not will be appointed to the appeals panel as his experience in sporting matters is second to none. Any government officials or companies from Abu Dhabi or UAE will find it extremely difficult to fight any rulings he makes.
