That's the only bit I don't completely agree with - because that destroys Emirates Marketing Project fans. The damage they have done is immeasurable. The whole situation is a complete mess. They’ve robbed managers, players & fans of experiences and memories. Everyone ought to be seeking compensation. It's a damning day for English football. I Hope they rot away in non-league for good.
Give the Bury phoenix club leasehold of the stadiumThat's the only bit I don't completely agree with - because that destroys Emirates Marketing Project fans.
Dissolve the going concern, expunge them from the period in question, allow the fans to start a new Emirates Marketing Project and wish them all the best.
That said - I didn't hear too many protests from fans.
Credit to the likes of AFC Wimbledon and FC United for taking a stand when things became unacceptable.

I think this is where the era takes on a dimension. Different generation, different ways of being. Raised with the expectancy of instant gratification, and raised by a society which encourages and sells that to society (it's on us to resist wherever we can)...
I used to wonder what would happen to my support of the club if taken over by something like the City ownership. I think I'd find myself doing a Burkinshaw...

It very easy to be on the side and say all those things. But most likely, everyone would continue just as before, and just hoping the club was still run within the rules.I think I would have to find a way to support the team but not the club, not convinced I can square that though.
Its probably an age thing but I don't feel the same way about the club, team or supporters as I use to. I've been around long enough to see us win things and struggle and have come to live with good and bad times.
100%. City fans are no better or worse than anyone else's fans. From their perspective, their owners did exactly what Chelsea did 5 years earlier. Their owners bridged the gap to Man U and Liverpool in the only way it could be realistically done. They did it by investing their own money into the club - not by defrauding anyone or spending money they didn't have.It very easy to be on the side and say all those things. I agree in principle - they slight difference is that with Wimbledon and Man Utd it was all out in the open; this was far more behind the scenes.they stood for this, they welcomed it, they are complicit too
we've seen plenty of fans protest the ownership at other clubs, they sold out, fudge their fans too

I agree with that. It's as much a football problem as it is a Emirates Marketing Project problem (the culture; the rule breaking is purely on City and the PL governance controls).I think this is where the era takes on a dimension.
