Richarlison

The issue with Everton was clearly them not being able to afford his current wage and we were not smart enough to make the difference up to get it done.

Possibly another example of the current leadership trying to act big to make a point, when they clearly don't know what they are doing.
I don’t tbink it was clearly that at all. I think Richarlison has been playing a game to refuse all offers and try to force the club to release him on a free.

Richi is reportedly on around £90k a week at Spurs, they pay Grealish more than twice that and Pickford, Braithwaite and Tarkowski significantly more. They pay Dewsbury Hall £90k a week, so I’m sure would’ve matched Richi’s Spurs salary.

Spurs would’ve had to have paid up Richi’s loyalty bonuses upon sale as well, which would likely have meant Richi earned more overall by moving (at the very least he would’ve earned no less if factoring this in), he likely would’ve got a 4 year deal at Everton as well.

It all points towards him trying to engineer a free transfer to me.

The rumors at the time it collapsed were of the loyalty payment he thought he was due from Spurs of 2m that we refused to pay, so the deal dragged out. In the meantime City were finally told no on Gakpo and turned their attentions to Ndiaye, the rest is history. In Richarlson’s tweets you can see he would have been very happy to join Everton if we could have agreed something.
I don’t think that can be the case. Loyalty bonuses are contractual. If we sell Richi without him having put in a written transfer request then we are contractually obliged to pay his remaining loyalty bonuses.

The guys a bellend and its clearly his own fault. Just remember how much of a rooster you all thought he was before he joined, he is still that rooster but we embrace it as he is one of us.

I thought he was a waste of money when we signed him, I wanted to keep Bergwijn.

He completely turned me around, I love the guy.

All the money we have spaffed up the wall on brick this summer and those muppets wouldn't pay 2m to get the deal done...

Yeah funny that, almost like there was more to it than such a rumour.

But hey, if it's so simple to an armchair football fan the reality of the situation is obviously just as simple - After all we really struggled to sell other players who didn't want to be here, couldn't possibly be more to it than what fans on a football forum know....

So the guy that had his professionalism totally questioned because he leveraged his Instagram account to whinge and whine has done exactly what since?

He's now on X sharing a video and once again stirring the pot. That is just like sticking up your middle finger to everyone.

Genuinely, let him rot until January. Fine him 2 weeks wages and put the toughest personal trainer on him for the next week.

If the manager doesn’t have final say on the squad list what the fudge is going on.

I think RDZ is trying to pass the buck on this one, but it’s one that by any reasonable expectation is completely his responsibility.

I was just pointing out that RDZs latest words are saying it's not on him or the club why Richie is not in the PL squad. So effectively saying Richie made the decision.

Yep, despite everything, RDZ is still protecting the player publicly despite the press digging for more information. I bet there is part of Roberto that would love to spill the beans and let the truth come out about Richi's actions and behaviours. Our manager knows he can't professionally and legally.

lol - feed him to the pigs Errol !!!

The market value is what it is. It seems Richy maybe overvaluing his services which is the reason for the situation he is causing.

This x100.

Clubs aren’t going to pay top dollar for a player who spends half his time on his arse, half his time injured, and who needs five chances to bag one.
