For all the romanticism around this guy, he's a nice guy who has a mistake in him most games. In pre season he completely missed a player who had come past him on his left shoulder and then burst into life way too late. Good luck to him, he probably accepted he was never going to be first choice here and wanted to go where he would be.

I think he would have been ok with the same place in the pecking order as last season but effectively starting Davies over him v Charlton made his mind up I think. It’s a shame really, nice to have a different skill set to call upon when needed.

Kevin Danso obviously wants to leave and play more football.
He does not especially want to be part of our squad.

Well, you cannot really blame him when he does not even get to start a league cup match against Charlton.

I do not think the issue is that he was not first choice, rather that he was now behind Davies.

Danso was bought for 21m and we’re selling for 25m next year, so +4m profit. So if we’re buying Tosin for 7m then essentially means we’ve rotated a squad player for 3m outlay.

I know the footballl accounting profits and amortization works differently, but just looking totals here…

Agree, but he’ll barely play. I think there’s a few in that back line where we’ve regressed individually.

It was a problem of our own making but I don’t think RDZ was that bothered.

I’ll take one mistake most games, seeing as the others are regularly making 15/20.

If I was Danso I’d be disgusted, absolutely disgusted that any of those charlatans got a start ahead of me.

We don't. have any defenders who don't make any chance creating mistakes every match day. Danso probably makes fewwer and his good defensive attributes are stronger than the other guys we have (not including the new boys in this assesement).

No the issue imo is that he could not see many games coming his way. He wants to play [ like all players should] on a regular basis which he may get by moving.
