Victor Osimhen

Ace Face

Clive Wilson
No plausible link to this player but I’m starting the thread in the hope it will put good vibes out into the universe to make this deal happen.

He’s arguably as good a CF as there is anywhere. This signing would be akin to us getting Klinsman 30+ years ago and would immediately transform us into legitimate Top-4 contention imo.

This is the first thread I’ve started on here so if we do miraculously end up getting him I’ll take the lead of the both NLD matchday freds this season too.

Come on…send the good vibes!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏

He seems to have been inked with about 10 different teams in the past few weeks and for varying amounts of money!
Wages seem huge, attitude questionable but he's a real talent and we definitely need a striker.

Fingers crossed, but I think he'll end up at Saudi.

Apparently we’d have to pay around 500k a week to come close to matching his current wages after tax
The tax rules in Turkey have recently changed. Previously the club withheld 20% tax to pay on the player’s behalf. However, they have changed the tax rules so that 40% tax is now payable, the players now have to do self assessments and pay 40% tax to which the 20% withheld by the club is credited.

I wonder if this is why there have been rumours that the club are now selling him. I suspect his contract terms were for a wage net of tax and Osimhen’s £300k a week wage is now going to cost them £500k a week instead of £375k a week?

So you’re saying there’s a chance we could sign him? 😉

There is zero chance he will sign for a club not in the champions league. If Arsenal sign him I expect them to walk the league.

The thought of them signing him feels me with dread.
unless arteta changes his slow build up tactics i don't think osimhen will improve them significantly. guimares may help but how much better is he vs odobert?

gyokeres is a very complete striker but was starved of chances last season, especially through balls and 1v1's against the keeper. if osimhen does go to arsenal, i hope we make a bid for gyokeres!

He didn’t even want Gyokeres.

Surely Artetas only requirements of a player is are they any good at corners, have they ever played rugby, and can they lay on the floor and feign injury on command to run down the clock?
He should add good at penalties to that list (he missed that one....like Gabriel....chortle)
