Yeah...not having the extra games of Europe this season will definitely play on the minds of next off the rank first teamers like Spence and Bergvall, oppurtunities could be limited...and at their age they just want to play.This, people keep glossing over this.
Spence clearly wants out, he's 26, his profile is highest, Porro extended, no European football (no extra games), don't think it's a coincidence the bid is from Italy (he's played there before, so obviously comfortable).
Club is both doing the right thing re having committed players, and also the right thing by those players by letting them go (important that players see us as both a destination and a path). Put a good sell on clause, let him go, buy a youth prospect as backup, move on.
