I understand people being upset. But tbh to progress, the board have realised that we need to buy established players not just potential. We do that by selling big when the player being sold is in peak demand and we already have alternatives in place. Rather than only selling players who are surplus to demands and not getting sufficient game time due to injuries or just not being very good I e either getting low fees or none at all. We have alternatives in place for Vuskovic so it was a good time to capitalise on a player who was not likely to get game time. Sell on option then covers us if he hits the big time. This seems like a sensible transfer strategy to me.
