Just to say, for that left-wing spot, none of the options linked (Savinho, Kroupi, Marmoush, Leao) are super impressive.
But one out-of-left-field signing I'd welcome - Johan Manzambi, from Freiburg.
Yes, technically he's a central midfielder. But he can play all over the park - Freiburg have used him as a DM, CM and AM, and Switzerland have played him off the left, off the right, and as a striker.
In every single position, he's looked dangerous and adept - his ball-carrying in particular is close to unstoppable. For a young lad of 20, to have the intelligence to adapt to all of those positions as seamlessly as he's done is quite something.
I'd give it a go to try to sign him - play Manzambi off the left, maybe moving him into the middle a little later. It's what we did with Modric when he first came here - play him off the left to start.
With Manzambi on the left and Kudus on the right, our problem with keeping the ball in tight spaces would vanish.
Plus the only ones in for him at the moment (bafflingly) seem to be Saudi Sportswashing Machine, and it would be funny to pinch Tonali and their Tonali replacement as well.![]()
I think he is still drunk from last night/this morning !!!Mad take this.
Lol - I know it's out of left field, but I'm serious mate. Watch how he plays, for Switzerland or Freiburg. He's often much more of a winger, either cutting inside off the left or hugging the touchline. His versatility and intelligence means he can play everywhere, but I think he's thrive as a ball carrier bursting down the left. He already does that for both Switzerland and Freiburg.Mad take this.
I think it’s due to the promise he came with and not really being able to showcase his talents having played a bit part through the season.Don't get the continual digs at Tel. If we can get an upgrade then great but he's not the worst player to have in the side. Good player now, young and a lot of potential imo.

I'm super positive on this kid - think he'll be an absolute superstar, and his mesmerizing dribbling reminds me of Dembele's. Think we'll regret not moving for him if we let him go to the Toon.
