The Game Is About Glory Podcast

Relief!

Phew!

Btw i don't listen to a word the owner family, management except RDZ on what is the target going forward - we all know the language to serve up to the fans, but we see evidence in the squad and on the pitch

Squad Review
Season 6 - Episode 51

Hamsters peddling the wifi engine? Charlie Gray in midfield? Archie Gray on bass? Statues for Richy? A few tears shed for things which feel like they have to happen? It can ONLY be TGIAG Marathon Squad Review with Steff, Milo, and Ram. And for those on Bluesky, do check out the visual aids created by Milo…

These are the visuals of age profile and contract length that we discuss on the pod

Great stuff guys. That just made a 2 hour drive a lot more enjoyable!

There are a couple of comments I want to add to the discussion though…

1. Yang Min-hyeok spent the first half of last season on loan at Pompey, where he did very well. But as you mentioned the second half season loan to Coventry was a disaster.

2. From what I have read on here, Ben Davies is interested in the business side of the game after his playing career is finished, and not moving into coaching. If that is true then I have trouble making a case for keeping him as part of the 25-man squad next season, especially given that VdV can act as our emergency LB if necessary.

3. Since Porro only has two years left on his contract, if he doesn’t sign a new one then we should be open to offers. For the record, I’m not saying that we actively shop him (ducks for cover).

Other than that I agreed with 99% of what you guys said. 👍

Thank you, and all great perspectives on your part.

One more…

4. No mention of Akhamrich who was sensational at Bristol City(?) last season.
He wasn't included because he's never played for the first team, I am hoping for us to do a pod focusing on the academy/U21s in the next few weeks where we'll get a chance to talk about the kids who were on loan a bit more

One Result We Would Change
Season 6 - Episode 52

Steff, Milo and Gareth look back at three (non-Spurs) matches where we wish we could change the result. Plus all of the latest news and transfers…it's interesting stuff!
