So
Theoretically
Say we signed Sa as back up keeper for free
Maybe sancho… for free
And Vlahovic for CF

Maybe we also sell Romero and replace with Van Heck

Would people be happy?

That would also assume we all Vic, Dragusin a CF etc…

Yes providing that was not all our business, and it allows us to drop some serious money on a couple of top players

More interesting question is, would De Zerbi be happy? Provided we bring a couple of youngsters into the first team squad and get to the bottom of our injury curse, it might be ok. It also depends on whether we keep one of Richarlison or Solanke, as I'm not sure Vlahovic would hit the ground running. Still, it should be enough to guarantee a more enjoyable season than the last one.

So, happy, no, but satisfied-ish.

He is the key, I agree
I don’t believe we’re signing anyone that he doesn’t want

I’d be ok with Sa as competition with Kinsky.

Sancho - no as he would block Tel and Odobert from game time and is no better than either.

Vlahovic - has the physicality/size for the PL but not sure about his personality. He’s supposed to be a fascist dingdong in the changing room isn’t he?

This.

Never been impressed with Sancho so no and Vlahovic seems to have regressed since Poch wanted him so another no for me.
Depends whether RDZ can draw out the Dortmund version or the one we have seen over the last few years, the Dortmund version was electric and productive. Unfortunately what we saw at United and subsequently as has been said is no better then what we have now

Depends on our financial position. Good if we are broke. But it raises the question of how Levy can be a billionaire and leave Spurs fighting relegation.

The only fit way to judge how well we are doing is against arsenal. New stadium , new management and on pitch success.

There’s no evidence therefore that he can do it in the Premier League.

I wouldn’t be happy with the free transfers. Don’t want Sancho or Vlahovic. We should be looking to sign top quality players, not taking a speculative punt on frees. I’m not even fully convinced that Robertson is a good signing. He has experience and can help lead but he’s at the end of his career. He can’t be starting for us.

I’d be open to Vlahovic that’s about it. But free players also come with premium wages and a signing bonus. Your probably better off over the lifespan of the contract. But it’s not actually free.

Unfortunately, there aren't that many good strikers around at the moment. Vlahovic is an unknown quantity in the Premier League, but signing someone on the back of a World Cup usually means paying more than they're worth and I can't think of anyone who'd be a nailed-on certainty to be a success here.

We're not challenging for the title next season anyway, so a short-term fix with a player who's good but still leaves some game time to Lankshear isn't such a bad choice, I think.

Has any team won stuff or challenged for honours relying on a bunch of free transfers? Is management trying to be innovative or does the new stadium costs a lot more to upkeep because it seems to a drag to our finance in the football area

Vlahovic would appall people way more than Muani if he ever turned up in our shirt. In fact, remember Muani was keeping Vlahovic out of the Juve team the season before last

Was Poch after Vlahovic? don't remember that and the timeline seems stretched. Poch left in November 2019 and Vlahovic is 26 now so would have been 19. Was he that much on the radar? Don't recall the links until later when Harry was being pushed to leave by the media.
