In hindsight, I think Davies would have made a good "club" captain, this past season.

I don't understand the logic of this with Robertson being an identical profile, and us already having a massively bloated squad
I'd much rather he was being employed to replace Vinai
assuming we keep Spence, Porro, Udogie, VdV & Danso. Plus sign Senesi and the Brighton lad. This does seem strange, 5th choice CB and 3rd choice lb? Would point to Vuskovic going on loan, Takai on loan,Souza on loan, Phillips sold or loan and Byfield hopefully out on loan.

Will he be in your top 25 of the 40 senior players we currently have on our books + any new signings we might make? That should always be the criteria - do they make the cut of 25?
To me this signals more asset stripping - go with the freebies Robertson and Davies and cash in on the prize asset (Udogie)

Not sure, would need to see the squad once we’re doing. But it’s a pretty low-risk renewal. I’m sure he knows the score around his role. I imagine there were extensive conversations.
