Savinho

city didn't pay much for him and since he hasn't played and developed much, hopefully the price won't be increasing.
still unproven in the epl, not sure how much more of these we want

It's a difficult time for some players who go to City (eg look at Grealish), I think Pep challenges you, some sink some swim. It's a tough gig ...even Pep had his issues with B.Silva at times.

I'm saying not all is lost if it doesn't work out for a player at City.
Silva and arguably Grealish already had better Cvs imo
But fair call
Pep is a strange beast as a manager

It's amazing that we are interested in a fringe player, doesn't get much game time, not really fancied by the manager...yet City command £60m ...and will probably get it.
Always think for £60m that’s borderline world class player money and he isn’t there….
I’d have him at £45m maybe at a push
But as I said elsewhere the money isn’t the issue, getting the player the manager wants is
Of its Savio then so be it

What have we seen from RDZ's methods in the past that says he actually would find Savinho an asset?

I know Pep can be odd, but he's mostly looked progressively more 'meh' as his time at City has gone on. Is this a player RDZ would like or are we just going back for him because we've already done some negotiations previously and it's convenient?

<<What do you mean i sound cynical?>>

maybe our star has really fallen and no players of epl quality wants to come to spurs.

Not sure on this one. Seems another gamble (and probably a very expensive one at that) - and we've seen where continually going for those has got us over the past few seasons.

Seen him a few times, not sure what it is people see with him, other than "we desperately need a LW" and TBF that bar is fairly low. If RDZ wants him, then obviously we are all on board before someone parrots that, but he just isn't a player who I look at and think WOW

He had the wow in Spain
I haven’t seen it here
But as you say… if RDZ wants him
What worries me is it does seem like a legacy player chase like Gallagher was

Yeah, especially when you can probably get Nusa for the same money. Twice the player Savinho is. Stronger, faster, two-footed and a much bigger goal and assist threat. And he's much better suited as LW, which is where we need to strengthen.

Savinho lack of pace is the worry for me, beyond slow

Reeks of lazy scouting/recruitment. Same as Gallagher. They are players directly under the Recruitment teams noses. Contrast that to eg. Bournemouth who went and got Rayan for £25m who was match ready and has all sorts of potential.

This is the biggest problem with our ownership. They may look back in a year and say "Well, we had a go". But they aren't putting enough scrutiny into the people they are giving the money to imo.

I hope he comes good but I've seen nothing that suggests the player is worth £60m.
