Transfer thread

Saw a post on X that Saudi Sportswashing Machine are still after Solanke (they wanted him when we signed him) and want to offload Woltemade...

Now it's probably not true, but Woltemade is my favourite player in the PL not at Spurs. He hasn't scored much (only started 23 matches, and GHod knows why but often played as an attacking midfielder), but you can just tell from his touch and finishing that he has something extra.

Anyone else rate him?

I hadn't paid him any attention before he joined Saudi Sportswashing Machine but what I've seen of him he looks very talented. More of the complete forward in terms of ability that we would want. I wonder though why Saudi Sportswashing Machine would be tempted to move him on, my perception was that the move was a successful one?

Just shows that these managers aren't grounded in reality and think money grows on trees. They say what needs to be said in their interview to get the big fat salary and then play the blame game on their employers forever after.

All we need is a manager who understands what it means to take the Spurs job and gets on with it without all this whinging. We spent £400m under Ange and he was around for 2 years. £250m of that was net spending thanks to the Harry transfer.

For someone who prided himself in taking responsibality for everything, he's quick to blame others for his failures. Wonder what he's got to say about his time at Forest...

Agreed. Sadly, i think that template of shifting the blame to the club etc is now a fortified one that will likely only get discarded when ENIC leave...

They seem to prefer Osula up front, and then have been playing Woltemade (or Willock lol) in the #10 position.

I think it’s more that hes a high priced asset that’s not essential to them. Saudi Sportswashing Machine fans saying Howe only has one way of playing is the main reason for not getting the best out of him +Osula is better at pressing.

He’s def a complete forward, great technique.

Wishful thinking, but if they sell we should be all over it.

Edit: they want 80-90m, but we could sell them Solanke for 60m and everyone’s FFP happy

I identified 4 of the best players in the PL, therefore I know what I’m doing and it’s not my fault 🤣

Pretty sure even a blind man could have picked out those players. Need to be realistic. Also Mbeumo is a clogger
You can't have it both ways in trying to snipe at Ange.
Was Mbeumo a clogger or one of the best players in the PL?

[Delaney] Roberto De Zerbi plans triple transfer raid on Brighton to ignite Tottenham rebuild

"Roberto De Zerbi is hoping to raid his old club Brighton to charge up Tottenham Hotspur’s rebuild, with Carlos Baleba, Jan Paul van Hecke and Bart Verbruggen at the top of his transfer targets.

There is naturally an acceptance they may not get all of those, which is why Spurs are also looking at Bournemouth’s Marcos Senesi, Liverpool’s Andy Robertson and Emirates Marketing Project’s James Trafford.

Tottenham are even considering a deal for John Stones in order to bring in some badly-needed leadership.

Has there ever been a new manager who isn’t going to raid his former club? Seems like an easy story
