It won't backfire. There is a large amount of people who will be cheering this. The local elections will tell us what percentage of this country thinks the above is no big deal.

A million quid in your pension pot would make you a millionaire without being anywhere near rich. A million pound business would probably be a good earner without making you rich. In the South East, you could get most of the way to a million with a detached house and a car or two without being anywhere near rich.

It won't backfire because it's the Greens they've chosen. Neither party are palatable to civilised human beings, so they're aiming at those places where it's a close vote between the two.

People who wouldn't usually vote for either would surely choose Reform as the lesser of two evils in this case.

The lesser evil being an entirely subjective view based on what policies matter to you. But yeah I think you are right.

I don't have a local election here but would vote Green if I did.

Then be specific, don't be hateful towards so called lower classes, its not hard. If people are not then its rightfully called out, I don't think thats outrageous

Not least because there are likely people on here who do or have used the benefits system
 
So what happens when Reform need planning permission for these deportation centres in areas where Reform have no political presence?
It’s all bluster and bribery and bollox.
They will do very well in these local elections for sure but I maintain it will be a different story come a General Election when they will be held to more scrutiny.

Absolutely.
You can tell I’m not rich as i see cars and houses as massive liabilities - ever more so with tradesman like the new footballers.

To my mind, both are huge issues. I would not trivialise one over the other. In fairness, I'm not sure many of us would ascribe the concept of 'fairness' to China?
 
Our local authority has just split from borough and country council to dual independendent authorities.

Typically the best councillors are from residents association within boroughs but there are fears the broader constituencies will dilute that.

It also puts the local authorities out of sync with the parliamentary constituencies.

This all because one of the boroughs, Woking, lost a brick load of money.

I’ve never really understood why the normal parties are so well represented locally.
