The issue is that once the matter became public and the CPS got involved, they later resumed the relationship. Without her cooperation, the likelihood of securing a conviction was always going to be extremely low, that is simply how these cases often work.

As for your point about the CPS and the police, a decision not to charge, or a not guilty verdict, does not prove that an offence did not occur. It only means the evidential threshold for prosecution or conviction was not met. There are many cases where victims of rape or sexual assault do not see their attacker charged or convicted.

And on your final remark dismissing others as “keyboard warriors” doesn’t strengthen your argument. It avoids the actual issue.

If your position is that only a conviction determines whether something happened, then we fundamentally disagree, and there is little point in continuing this discussion.

I think most sensible people can make their mind up on who they want at the club based on that audio clip. The fact there are 1000s of players globally that we could look at and not have to rely on someone who tells a woman "I don't care what you want, I wanna fudge you you taco, I don't care if you wanna have sex with me"

I was referring back from talk ages ago, not just now - this simply reinforces it. I'd like Poch back but it won't be anytime soon IMO....
