Really didn’t have a contingency worked out if they had to replace Frank did they?

They had since at least December to plan for this likely scenario.

They sack the guy (rightly so) when there is a 12 day game break.

Then proceed to waste time doing …

According to Paul O'Keefe Vinai was told by the board/owners to sack Frank.

If true (big if) I could see that leading to more upheaval. Not just the DoF not calling the shots on this, not the chairman, but the board/owners stepping in.

Don't think that would have happened under Levy. Can't imagine Vinai will be too happy about it.

Obviously, big if there. But there being real disagreements within the club around Frank's future for sure makes sense.

Wasn't their a rumour that a similar instruction (ie raging owner) was wanting the trigger pulled after another match (West Ham?)...and had to be talked round?

That’s exactly what happened as from what I heard. A month ago the board were split in discussions but the owners wanted him out but eventually bent over after another round of talks. This time no one could find any argument for keeping Frank. It’s actually West Ham’s revival that got them worried.

Just look at them. They clearly aren't assertive or demanding people.

The delay is too long already. It’s not like Frank Leaving was completely out of the blue, is it?
Just guesswork on my part but I’d imagine sorting out which of the backroom staff are staying here is being worked on and causing delays in the interim announcement. The announcement that will inevitably be Heitinga

I wonder how many times it has happened in the past that Levy has had the same call, get rid or else🤷🏻‍♂️

Never. Because Levy was in charge and Lewis was silent. But now Connie and Fredo have their hands on the wheel, despite never having learnt to drive (chauffeured since birth)

Rumours on Twitter (FWIW) are saying they want a decision done by Monday. If they cant get Poch now then in the Summer with Interim sorted.

I'd bet nothing happens by Monday now lol

It really is a delicate situation....due to the slide we are seeing. It's all very well wanting Poch but the next 13 games are a massive priority.

Red Adair moment
