Guglielmo Vicario

He was fouled for the second goal. I dont care what new rules y'all have in that league. A goal keeper whose hands are being impeded and prevented from going for the ball should be given a foul. People will be saying the GK is not strong enough as if they want him to commit murder in the box.
Impeded? The player just stood his ground. There's no rule that they have to get out of the way and allow the keeper to reach the ball.

wilson was backing in, and obstructing Vic, Wilson made no attempt to get to the flight of the ball, he bundled Vic over then put the ball into the net

it was the most blatant of fouls, that gets given 10 times a game anywhere else

He needs to toughen up. He’s too weak. Fight for the ball. I’ve never seen a goalie get bullied as routinely as Vicario does. Get in the gym and bulk up. When does he ever charge through and attempt to get the ball? He just sticks to his line and looks to the ref to give a foul.

Buy cheap, buy twice 💸

Reminded me of Gomes’ performance against Chavski when he saved a penalty but let in a howler.
We have done far too much of this.... Promising youngsters are one thing but when presented with the opportunity to purchase a very good, proven PL keeper in Reya for only £30m, it makes no sense to turn to a cheaper alternative.

We should change our club's motto to: "Emere vile, bis emere"

I find is strange that we haven't gone out and got ourselves a half decent keeper. Despite Vicario being poor we're not playing Kinsky so we clearly don't think he is up to it yet and him getting no games isn't going to make him better.

A simple, logical thing to do would be to bring in a good, experienced player such as Ter Stegen, who is available on loan for Barcelona and then loan out Kinsky to somewhere that he can go and actually play first team football. Ter Stegen can then fight for a first team place with Vicario (I say 'fight' but I doubt it would be much of a fight).

There was a corner in the first half that was swung into the middle of our 6 yard box (as every team should try to do with every corner when playing us) I was expecting to see Vicario rooted to his line as he always is but he was actually in an even worse position than that, having dropped a yard or two over his own goal line, such a coward.

The last sentence genuinely made me laugh out loud 😂

We have so many areas we need to strengthen, but I would argue the goalkeeper is the most urgent along with the forwards (and I mean all of them).

There is a solely no comparison between Ter Stergen and Vicario. Ter Stergen has made a few calamitous errors in his career but Vicario has probably made more in a single season. I'm 100% behind a move for him.
