Fixture & Ticket News 25/26

I think it was to sell more memberships. You could only transfer your ticket to a member. It worked in my group as we have three or four people who we would generally give our spare tickets to if we couldn't attend. Those people have had to buy memberships this season in order for us to continue to be able to send them our tickets.

Selling more memberships is a by-product of limiting how people can buy a match ticket without having a history with the club. Maybe more memberships was that the plan all.
along but I see it as a pretty easy way to stop away fans from getting home tickets. I doubt the club would have changed things were it not for the noise made about it from fan groups last season.

You and your friends could just screenshot the qr code btw

Does anyone think our ticketing system is mad, or is just me. Because we are playing dreadful football less and less people are attending, yet if mum and dad turn up on the day with two kids Spurs won't sell them tickets. For example, if said family want to watch us against West Ham on Saturday, they will have to buy memberships at £45 each, then 24 hours later go on line and buy 4 tickets at a minimum of £60 each, total £420.

Not sure you can turn up at any ground these days and get in without pre booking, maybe at places like Turf Moor.
Saudi Sportswashing Machine game has gone to general sale so I don't think you need membership just a CRN , back of north stand one adult and one child would cost £77 and £38.50, but yes prices are mad.

Most top level sporting events, concert events, theatre events, festivals are highly priced now, I think it a great pity that so many youngsters can't go like I did with my mates.

As a rough guest I'd say tickets have doubled in a relatively short space of time.

Such a shame... especially for the youngsters as you say :(

I always remember my first trip to the Lane. Ipswich Town 1-1 (Mar 94)

Got up one Saturday morning and thought, sod it, I fancy going to a Spurs game, got the 8.40am train to Euston and then Underground to Seven Sisters
Never even thought you might not be able to pay on the gate, like you could at Lower league grounds

As it was, managed to pay at the turnstile and ended up in the Lower East Stand, right behind one of those supports

No chance it would happen now

Social media-driven 'experience economy' I think. Whilst football has always been popular, the desire to attend events has increased in step with the ability to share that you were there I think.

Shockingly dear for a match, even worse if you add in travel. These days even for a C game its around £140 for 2 tickets, £50 petrol, 2 Toll Road fees, ULEZ charge, £15 Car Parking, Food and Drink at the Services both ways. Works out about just under £300 for the two of us.

Would not even think about stopping over at a Premier Inn before or after a match anymore as that probably sticks another ton or more on top.

Got to be honest, if a match is televised, these days I cant justify spending all that cash when you can watch from the comfort of your own home.
If we contemplate a trip now, it will probably only be a Saturday 3pm thats not on TV, like Burnley and Bournemouth earlier in the season

Cant make this weekend, but i do a have feeling we will have one more untelevised home game with 3pm Saturday ko before the end of the season
