Kota Takai

Dammit, for me this thread opened on the tweet from a month ago, saying:
Thomas Frank on Kota Takai: "Kota is better and better. He has trained fully with the team for a week to 10 days."
So I thought he was over the foot injury and coming back.
Apparently it is a quad issue this time, right?

I still wonder if our training grounds are too hard; the hardness of the pitches must have a cumulative impact compared to a softer squelchier surface.

In an Instagram video asking the players the best goal they’ve seen. Looks like he was putting his boots on. So at least out on the grass now, not sure if that’s just with coaches or the group.

Kota Takai has joined Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach on loan for the remainder of the 2025/26 campaign.

An arrival from J1 League outfit Kawasaki Frontale in July, the 21-year-old defender recently returned to fitness following injury and made his first appearance in a matchday squad in Sunday’s Premier League win at Crystal Palace.

A Japan international, the centre-back has four caps to his name for his country having made his debut in a 7-0 win over China in September, 2024.

Hopefully he plays into fitness in reasonably competitive games.

With Takai moved out on loan, I doubt we'll see any movement with Dragusin.

I can't believe we'll want Vuskovic to head back when he is getting so much football at the moment.

Would have preferred a UK loan over uprooting to another country & culture for 6 months, given he's probably still in the settling in process here
