For london voters

It was when the edl first announced themselves. It was on the bbc news. Said they had nothing to do with nazis. Tommy was in a mask but it was him.

You are talking about TR? I thought you were referring to Farage, I was

TR is a racist scumbag, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind on that

Of course, but additionally no serious politician could endorse TR or his views, maybe those abroad with no claims to our political system, but it would be party suicide here.
With that much money to campaign with? I disagree. I think with a times the spending power of all the other parties combined, they could do almost anything and find their way to an election win.

Hamas is a terrorist organisation with its tentacles in all of the countries that immediately surround Israel. To believe that they don’t have any influence on the political scene would be just blind stupid.

They are not voted in, they are pure Islamists that wish nothing but to wipe Israel and Jews off the planet as directed by their text. It’s not Israel that occupy Palestine it’s Hamas.

No one with an ounce of sanity endorses the views of TR given his career criminality, I don't care who you are

I don't think they'd have had to. If Farage really didn't care about having someone like him in the party, they could have easily got by with a "We all grow, we all reflect on things we've said and done, etc" statement.

I just think its a quick win to look serious TBH and despite me thinking there are major question marks over Farage, I don't expect or think he is ar TR levels of the cesspit

Hitler was democratically elected. Don't think it can't happen again. This all should have been sorted 30 years ago. Successive governments though have lied, leading to brexit etc...
Now it looks like farage will be next pm. If he doesn't sort it, it will be someone else.

I agree and it is what it is.

My point is that denouncing TR isn't the proof of being anti racism as being made out IMO, its just political common sense

Oh…. Are you one of those people that think Hamas is a political party?

I know what they are, they are murdering scum. No better than the IDF but with less weapons and support.

We were talking about the West Bank. They do not rule in West Bank, they may have sympathisers but they do not run it. If you look back through the thread you may find this vital context.

To add. The West Bank is occupied by Israel illegally. It regularly murders civilians there.

Does this make sense to you?

But your comment was "Hamas are not in the West Bank". When they absolutely are in the West Bank (as are other terrorist organisations, the most eminent of which is the Palestinian Islamic Jihad). You're now changing that to Hamas not ruling in the West Bank after being called out as wrong.

Saying Hamas are not in the West Bank because they are not the rulers of it is like saying that the Taliban aren't in Pakistan because they're not the rulers of it.

The West Bank is a place with a very complex history. I don't think it has a single ruling party. As far as I am aware there are areas A, B and C, with different portions under different rule - some administrated by the PA and some by Israel, though there have been no elections in the West Bank for around 20 years. Israel have agreed to and made numerous offers of a two state solution. However, unfortunately those in power in Gaza and The West Bank only want a solution that sees the eradication of Israel

I think an incredibly poor decision by Jordan to join Egypt in the 6 day war against Israel is a big factor in creating some of the problems that exist in the West Bank today. Though even worse decisions have been made since then, notably Yasser Arafat rejecting the 2000 Camp David Accords deal and instead inciting the second Intifada and also Abbas' refusal of the 2008 Olmert proposal (to which he didn't even come back with a counter offer).

There will be no peace in that region until the Palestinian rulers accept the existence of Israel. That will require different rulers, which will require the people of Palestine to overthrow the current leaders and elect ones that accept the existence of Israel. The problem is that the people of Palestine tend to hold the same viewpoint at the current rulers. Until they value their own existence more than they value a belief of death to all jews then we are unfortunately going to be stuck with what we have right now.

Dude wth. You didn't know anything much about this conflict a few pages ago. And in reality you still don't.

I was responding with regards to who rules it.

Now you seem to think Israel occupies the West Bank because of Hamas. They have occupied it since before Hamas were created. They occupy it because they think GHod has promised them this land. Now, most of these settlers are not ethnically from the region. It's just the religion. The people who live there are. But they don't have the right religion. Hence the occupation.

I actually went away to do some reading as I felt a little ignorant on the history of the place so wanted to learn more. I read lots last night, I found it so interesting that I ended up going right through until the start of the cricket. In particular I found the reading on the 6 day war interesting. I have continued to read today as there is so much to learn and consider - if anyone has any good recommendations for decent, hopefully unbiased (I know difficult) reading material then I'd really appreciate it.

I never said that Israel occupies the West Bank because of Hamas at all. Please stop trying to insinuate that I have said something I didn't. I merely corrected the lie you wrote about Hamas not being in the West Bank.

Do I think there are a bunch of religious jewish nutters out there with thoughts on a 'divine right to the land'?.... Absolutely! Do I think they have divine right to the land? Absolutely not!

Though I do equally think that there are a bunch of islamic religious nutters in the same region that think they also have a divine right to the land.

Thinking that we should probably take this to a different thread as it is nothing to do with the London Mayor (who I don't really have much of an opinion on at all good or bad) Though I will just ask whether you disagree with the final pieces of what I wrote regarding the terrible decisions for Jordan to join in the 6 day war and the rejection of two, really rather good offers of two state solutions, where counter offers weren't even made (and indeed one actually spawned an intifada instead of a counter offer?

Do you also disagree with my belief that those in power of potential Palestinian regions actually want only a one state solution? Do you disagree that the people in those regions also want a one state solution?

They occupy it because the people who had it before declared war on them and Israel kicked their arses.

Israel have held on to that land since as nobody has been able to put together a solution for them to stop doing so whilst remaining safe from those who wish them harm.

History didn't start in 1967. You side with a brutal oppressor that murders innocents em masse.

You have completely misunderstood my position. Genuinely. Maybe read it again or not write an essay that says a total of nothing. Ta.
