*** CL MD4 OMT Tottenham Hotspur v FC Copenhagen ***

My first time at the stadium this season. Nice little performance. Obviously taking into account the level of the opposition lots of very good performances. I liked the touches from MuanI, shame he didn't have the killer instinct or the accuracy tonight. I was willing him to score one but it didn't happen. He got a rousing send off when he was subbed. Simmons had some nice play, some good interchange you could see what he was thinking but it just off on a few occasions, but overall good. That will have done him a world of good. Odobert in particular I felt grew in confidence after his goal, he kept trying to take his man no matter unsuccessfully and I like that as an attitude and it seemed to make him grow in his performance.

VDV's goal was incredible, he really bustled and then showed a real turn of pace and the finish was cool as fudge. At first I thought he should play it to MuanI who was wide open but his finish was cool as fudge. He could probably make a few more of those slaloming runs every now and again, he's very good in control of the ball at his feet.

We were all shouting for Scarlett to take the pen he earned and after Richy missed it yeh whole South stand starting cheering 'Dane Scarlett, he's one of our own". A real nice touch and some decent minutes and play for him in his cameo.

Richy had like 3 clear chances including a penatly. Soooooooooooo frustrating.

Muani looking better and better. Xavi salvaging himself - clearly shows he's a good player but needs to adapt to the EPL.

VDV on fire - property motivated after the Chelsea loss and his part in conceding the goal

Happy for Scarlett's introduction, maybe that's why TF left Tel out of CL line up.

A one-off to me and while I'm happy for the result, a better gauge of TF and the team's performance was the Chelsea game and the upcoming Man U one.

It's probably been said, but how can you not give the pen to Scarlett? Karma is a bitch.
Prob cos he is a senior. But having said that it wasn't like it was 0-0 and it was in last few mins. And he should have let Scarlett take it. But cos he misses more than he scores, guess he wanted his own confidence boosted. To hit the crossbar twice in 10min is really something.

Honestly.....I wish we would move him on

Difficult to evaluate the performance given the opposition. Part of our problems have been against high presses and they did very little of that. Also a couple of the goals were very cheap to give away.

But no doubt a solid massive step in terms of performance, a really good watch and great to get such a good scoreline.

Several really good performances already highlighted by others. To add one more thought Odobert again showed what he can do.

Good result for the team. Improvement for both the fans and management to enjoy. Especially after going down to 10 men. Some will say Copenhagen was poor. True but a win is a win.

Micky's goal should win the Puskas award. Richie is an idiot and should be sold after not giving Dane that pen. He is senior enough to know how much it would do for Dane.

Dane has shown what he can do. He has the strength, pace and footwork. Give him a chance Frank. I would rather much we blood him.

Very nice to get a good, dominant win and a good performance at home, to brush that Chelsea game off the mind of the players and fans. Makes it a lot easier going into the weekend and Manure.
Should be a good game! They're as bad away as we've been at home
But they are growing in confidence now. Was kind of hoping Forest would beat Utd. And let's hope they don't get an away win at ours. We need to get a 2nd home prem win under Frank.
Beat them for the 5th time!

Just checking before bed…are we back to thinking that Frank is the dog’s b ollocks? Exactly what the club needs, brilliant progressive football etc?

Oh ye olde cheeky glibster!!!!

I'll take the bait...I was pleased that he set us up to utilize both that large area of the pitch called 'the middle', I was pleased he set us up in a way to make the best use of players like Xavi, Odobert, and Johnson, and I was pleased that it appeared he might have had a word with them about the importance of going forwards occasionally on the half-turn...IF it is an approach he is prepared to be braver about using in games against opposition as weak as this, then great. IF it is an approach which slowly becomes part of what we do generally, wonderful. IF we see similar direction of play and attitude on Saturday, I will be delighted.

As far as whether he is the dog's gonads? I'll wait and see how the season pans out first, but nice to see encouraging signs again.

One thing about Scarlett has made me look and think again more than any other...our captain singled him out in the fan Q&A as one of the players to watch at the club. He only named two, and Moore was the other. He works with him all the time. I thought his cameo tonight was really strong, here's hoping it gives his career with us new life. Yes, the pen would've been a nice thing for him, but he won it for us and he knows it. Richy is our 9 and is desperate for goals, so I was not surprised he took it.

For all the 'Richy's brick' etc, he smacked the bar with a brilliant header. The pen was poor but also a little unlucky. I would start Muani over him full stop, but I wouldn't clam Richy off like everyone is right now. Let's get the most we can from him before he leaves in the summer.

It feels so good watching us play football. The line up was instantly more positive, and the difference on the pitch was we didn't have two people sitting in front of the defence when we were transitioning.

The ball was moving quicker between the lines into Xavi and we saw what he can do if we move the ball quicker. Should have had two assists. Muani had balls to attack, and he played well despite missing that two chances.

Having Sarr next to Bentancur seemed to free him a little more which was good to see. They both helped our midfield be more aggressive, which triggered everyone else.

I know it's only Copenhagen but we have struggled to play well against anyone lately so hopefully this gets a bit of confidence. Losing playing like this means we can see a way out, but if we go back to Chelsea performance and games before that, then it's hard to see anything positive.

Very, was just a yellow. VAR showing stills of the point of contact and slow-motions persuades the ref that it's worse than it is.
The very first thing the ref was shown as he approached the screen was a still of the point of contact, which was obviously going to look bad and influence him. It was a silly tackle but not a red and no malice, his foot only went where it did because it bounced up off of the pitch....
