And do you believe the last few performances are of a team that deserves to or will finish 4th?
In this league, yeah we look pretty good compared to others right now.

Great post Steff. This was a significant result.
I cannot remember us playing as disjointedly for 50 minutes yet still getting something from the game at the death.
Frankl is learning, and we need to be patient as the clicks and connections come together. We are without Solanke, Deki, and Madders - a significant core of our attacking/creative play for the last few years. With Muani having fallen to 'the curse' we will likelt be riding the Richy train for some time. Xavi is still patently getting used to the physicality and relentlessness of the league, and we have to be patient. Modric needed a season to find his feet, and I think it is clear Xavi will too. He is going to be an excellent 10 option for sure, but right now it is too easy to swamp and stomp him in there; I think hav ing hiom drift from the left as he gets used to the league is fine. We still created enough moments to either fashion better clear cut chances or just put them away. It was a shame Kudus strayed offside because that sort of goal would've been huge in both timing and style. But it will happen.
Right now, I'd give Tel more time than Odobert off the left; he has a greater ability to hold the ball/play accurate passes. Odobert was unimpressive to me again, and I have to say, in that final minute I actually found myself yelling at him to move the ball instead of stand there and try to trick his opponnant just inside his own half!
Finally, I think there is a conversation to be had about Vic. I am not sure what the answer is, but we must be aware there's a question to be asked IMO...

We've been pretty stop start, Liverpool and arsenal have had good starts by most accounts, yet we're not that far behind them.
Going into October with one draw and one defeat in all comps, I'll take that.

They are significantly better than we are, it is what it is. Hopefully under Frank and with continual player staff improvements we can get to the level where we are able to put in similar performances. While that's true, the contrast between them сuntѕ' win at St James's Park tonight and our feeble second-half effort AT HOME yesterday couldn't be starker, sadly. We need better players, simple as.
He's not doing much, he's mostly been played on the left and hasn't done much. His best moments have been in central position but yeah he's not done a great deal yet.Is he doing well?
I really kinda expected more from him and them
They brought ready made players for a fortune
The opportunity to create an opportunity. I do get it but there's a reason they never actually became opportunities. I don't think you can put too much into those half almost chances. The pass, the cross, the run, the dribble etc never actually happened usually because either was beyond the capability of the passer or the receiver.I have seen this said over and over. We had plenty of chances to score/create scoring chances in the first-half...
No, our results have been better than 16 teams, our performances haven't. We've had a reasonably handy start with City the only top team we've played (oddly our best performance), and playing the three teams that are currently bottom. So far our performances have us 4th. We haven't been great but 16 teams in the league have been worse.
DOH!Maths not your strong point, eh![]()

I think they have an issue now in quantity that he has to work out how to manageHe's not doing much, he's mostly been played on the left and hasn't done much. His best moments have been in central position but yeah he's not done a great deal yet.

So we can use Bournemouth's current league position but not Wolves?Bournemouth are right up there currently
We have played 2 brick teams in Burnley’ and West Ham
Wolves are better than their form or league table IMO
NoSo we can use Bournemouth's current league position but not Wolves?
Both will be mid table at best come end of season.
It's right to say we played the three bottom teams, Wolves, West Ham, and Burnley, which is what I said.No
But it’s not right to say we played teams at the bottom and forgetting where Bournemouth’s position is right now

Doherty won the toss and turn us around.Yep
I guess it’s a learning curve
He is trying k work out how to manage his squad and that takes a bit of time
The players he put out are technically good enough to win that game
But if, like they did, they aren’t 100% in that game, you can’t easily drop points
One weird thing, and I’ve seen it before, is when we’re turned around from kick off (playing the wrong way first half) we never win
