He will be massively fine....got class, needs time, not 5 game judgement
Like I said before...I think he's trying too hard, he's joined a new club in a big league...he needs to score a goal. He'll settle once he has scored, but the longer he goes without scoring he'll over cook it by trying too hard and not playing his natural game.
Yeah I agree that playing on the left doesn't help him much, but I once he scores that first goal I don't think playing on the left will be so much of a problem.
Players like him crave the psychological Euphoria of chipping in a few goals to go with their natural instincts of creativity (think Eriksson). They love the adulation of being a special player. I think he's just trying too hard to impress at the moment.

It is highly unlikely that we will be able ro sign an elite left winger in January, 6 months before the WC. I think most top players that are actually gerring playing time will want to stay where they are until the summer. He plays on the left and plays poorly, surprise, surprise. Not to go over it again, but he's just not suited to the left. He needs players around him to interplay with, spaces to slide balls in etc, but I will caveat that it is clearly a fudge because we don't have a left hand side option that Frank rates hence the fudge with Xavi playing there (poorly).
In the January window we need a LWF that Frank actually rates and is willing to play, because it's obvious now (and fairly) that he doesn't rate any of Johnson, Tel or Odobert as a serious starting option.
Try again for Savinho and/or Semenyo. Savinho will only play a bit part role and Semenyo would take the step up and extra money. It is highly unlikely that we will be able ro sign an elite left winger in January, 6 months before the WC. I agree. At this point I don't think the player has to be elite, we just need someone reasonably competent I think. There is the possibility of reviving someone struggling maybe but I'm not expecting a Kudus level player for the left, it is what we need but we have to be realistic. It is highly unlikely that we will be able ro sign an elite left winger in January, 6 months before the WC. Personally I think that signing just a competent left winger is one thing not to do. Because where we want to go competent is simply not good enough, especially as unlike Chelsea we struggle to move players on. I would rather we consider playing Richie/Muani once Solanke is fit enough.I agree. At this point I don't think the player has to be elite, we just need someone reasonably competent I think. He joined a Mexican club in the summer I believe so cannot move again in January anywaywhat about saint-maxim - he used to look good for Saudi Sportswashing Machine, not sure what happened to him though. only 28
There is no evidence to support your belief that he will only be a bit part player. He was injured at the beginning of the season but has started the last 3 matches. Last season he played over 3000 minutes.Try again for Savinho and/or Semenyo. Savinho will only play a bit part role and Semenyo would take the step up and extra money.
Not to mention Savinho is about to sign a new contract. That one is dead in the water.....There is no evidence to support your belief that he will only be a bit part player. He was injured at the beginning of the season but has started the last 3 matches. Last season he played over 3000 minutes.
Semenyo is a player I would love us to sign but he has just penned a new contract so I would imagine it would be impossible to get him for less than £80m, most likely more.
He hasn't started the last 3. He started in the league cup and in the last league match were he played for an hour. Before that he's played less than 20 mins. He'll get a decent amount of mins due to the amount of games but isn't first choice. There is no evidence to support your belief that he will only be a bit part player. Clearly a class act. 6 games in and the Spurs massif going early
I don't see anyone writing him off. People rightly saying he had a poor game, but most (all?) have said they can see a player there.Yep, sadly the knee jerkers have written him off allready.
That's probably fair enough tbh.Personally I think that signing just a competent left winger is one thing not to do. Our squad is overblown and a.left winger whi is just competent is simply not good enough.
Yes you are right, he has only stated the last 2 matches. But you need to realise he is coming back from an injury and did not have a pre season. He
