To do what they’ve done this summer, from a position of strength already, is fantastic if you’re Arne Slot or a Liverpool fan. They’ve backed him on steroids.

Smith-Rowe, Iwobi, Nketiah, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Balogun all went for £30m+ each which is a fair amount. For some reason ours tend to be in the £5m to £20m bracket.
Arsenal have spent massively under Arteta though.

They have sold those players and there is a common theme there… English players and that premium that book get for players but brought in
We weirdly end up what’s wanting to sell foreign players who have failed and we lose money

That's absolutely true but even if we could, I'd be shocked if Levy pushed the boat out like that if we'd won the league the year before.
He's very cautious fiscally...which is not a criticism (or at least not an absolute criticism).

IMO this is stars aligning for pool
They didn’t spend anything last summer
Could buy in 2 windows this summer where 1 counts in last seasons numbers
And they have gone big on young players whilst shifting players well
It’s all masterful when it works but I can’t think of it ever working for any club like this before

It may not work. It can be difficult to bed in lots of players and some lads may be overawed by the stature of the club. So it's not a guarantee.
But, if they fail, that won't be on the owners. They've well and truly invested to dominate. If you're a fan, you've got to love that.
