"Guys, I think we are virtually in agreement, but before we do, do you mind if I text Romano?"
He obviously doesn't get everything right, but quite clearly has decent contacts. Everyone always seems to make so much more noise about the ones that don't end up happening, but he calls plenty right and he does get genuine info worth listening to.....

This bloke must have been a big disappointment for PSG according to Transfermkt they paid Frankfurt 95 million euros for him, then ends up being loaned to Juve, 10 goals in 22 games for Juve, can he repeat that in the PL ?

Strange that its a 5mill loan without a buy… have not seen Spurs do deals like that
A year's cover for 5mill.
Gives us flexibility next year to decide whether to bid to keep him, let him go because our other squad members have stepped up over the year, or put our cash towards a different signing. I'm on board with this.

PSG were in that spell where they were just buying lots of players and seeing who stuck. Muani wasn't bad for them but they did have Mbappe, Neymar, Messi, Ramos, Ekitike, Dembele, Doue etc. They just have a brick ton of options. Even Xavi Simons was there and didn't quite make it. It's not necessarily a big failing to not succeed at PSG.

checked out his stats, very good at both Juve and Frankfurt. Seems his style of play at PSG wasn't suitable for the posession based game that PSG utilise. Seeing as we play differnently, i think this could be a real shrewd signing.

Xavi RKM Kudus - we will be there.

Just been reading up a bit. He was super prolific at Frankfurt but struggled at Psg. It looks like his spell at Juve was a bit mixed - blistering start but tailed off.

General sense seems to be that he is not suited to the target man or penalty box striker role and does his best work as an inside forward from the left (the latter being how Frankfurt used him). Possibly therefore is seen more as an alternative for Johnson off the left than Rich or Solanke through the middle .

I don't really recall him playing from the left strongly. He played all over for Franfurt even as the AM at times and lot from the right and centre. He's a very versatile forward basically. One of those guys that genuinely cover any of the front 4 roles in a 4231/433 to a very good standard. If he does well, we will want to keep him.

he's a complete striker - left foot, right foot and proper headers too. quite a natural striker executing volleys and half volleys too
also loves 1 v 1s.

Thought it was a bit weird when Frank said Richarlison was his No.9. Doesn't seem like the kind of bloke that would want to alienate Solanke (or any other player). It does look like Solanke's out for a long time.

Messi & Neymar had already left in the summer of 2023 when Muani signed, it looks like PSG used the money from those sales to get Muani. Muani joined Frankfurt from Nantes on a free transfer on 1/7/22 then sell him to PSG for 95 mill euros on 1/9/23 , I'm not surprised that Levy doesn't join in all this transfer nonsense, in just over a year Frankfurt cash in 95 mill euros, madness.

"I'm hopeful that he will be back after the international break," Frank said. "Sometimes, you know, we just take a little bit longer time. It's not like he re-injured it again. So, you can say if you have a muscle injury, then you can maybe re-injure, it's nothing to do with that. It's not progressing as quick as we hoped for, but we are still positive that it can be solved in the next two weeks."

Though perhaps there's been further medical insight in the last 24-48 hours to change the above.
