One thing to throw in here is that we are amidst some serious boardroom restructuring and as such, I am sure the transfer work has been impacted. It is no secret that the Lewis family would rather have VV running the main show. I think perhaops this is the painful summer which leads to that being the case. I suspect they will not be happy with this latest thumb-twiddling, whatever the wider 'truths' might be about Frank's Spurs style...

Terms of payment pluy add-ons. It is actually very clear. We did not act decisively enough because we believed the hype i.e. that we were in a 'one-horse-race' (c) Ornstein. Foolish. Again, the only silver lining is that perhaps Frank will get a player HE feels really suits what he wants to do.

We forced our own hand on Eze, let's be clear. MGW? That was a massive fudge up and the agent/agency who wrote that clause is in the Charlie Kane realm of agency. Silliness.
