Mohammed Kudus

Looks like he'll be a great fit and although very early days reasons to believe that stepping up a level will come fairly easily to him and may even be a positive for his game.

I know there were question marks over his consistency over time West Ham. I really hope that either wasn't the case or it's something that won't be replicated here.

If this is his level with a reasonable consistency that's fantastic. Just the thought of this maybe being him still settling in, there being more to come and him not being quite at his peak yet is mouth watering.

Exceptional mix of physical and technical qualities. So much sheer strength and power to hold off players and keep the ball and then a moment later real skill and he can strike the ball well too...

Even better the qualities he brings are some of qualities we've needed more of.

And absolutely brilliant at holding up the ball. A big reason why PSG struggled, IMO. Once we lost that outlet, they had so much more possession and could start to put pressure on us.
It's that "just give me the ball" player we so sorely need more of. Oh, we're under a lot of pressure here, everyone is facing all kinds of the wrong way and will be pressured before even getting it.

"Just give me the ball" players... It's fine, don't worry, just give me the ball. I know I'm under pressure, but it's fine. Just give it to me. Kudus has it, Maddison has it, Kulusevski has it (in the opposition half at least), Solanke has it sometimes. Bergvall and Gray can get there. Porro and Romero have it, but deeper. We need players to receive it further forward too.

But we need more of them.

Porro and Kudus. Both really good players, but looks like it could be a real wonderful combination too.

Kudus can both be a threat in behind and receive the ball under pressure when Porro plays with ambition on the ball (which he obviously usually does).

Kudus being such a threat one vs one pulls defenders to him giving more space for Porro to cross from deep, or if he wants to reinvent the overlapping runs.

Defensively Kudus seems very willing to put in the hard yards, so far at least.

Looks like a right hand side that will cause anyone problems.
