OMT - Tottenham Hotspur vs PSG

Have to say big difference was Richarlison going off and Solanke's rustiness or suitability to the system (we shall see which it is) meant there was just no getting a foothold high up the pitch any more. Those saying we should sell Richarlison really need a rethink - he is the starter for me at the weekend.

Did anyone else notice the correlation between ourselves & Palace's recent exploits going in to pens?

FAC :1-0
EL : 1-0
Charity Shield : 2-2
Super Cup : 2-2

The little clam of an Arsenal fan that was watching the game stopped watching at 2-0 and started watching his phone, when it went to 2-2 he was sitting there laughing and looking all smug. It took a lot of energy to not say something to the little prick!

Wtf is wrong with you? He's not bissouma turning up late for training. He's a young player that seems to want to do the best for our club.

Maybe try and support him.
I’ll support anyone that puts on our shirt but I haven’t seen any kind of effort from him and I’m afraid he is another Postiga / Soldado. Sorry lads he is a dud

I guess it will come down to potential versus right now. We've tended to lean more into potential purchases over players for the right now. Also if Savio is going to be north of £70m off there might not be the money left over to also buy Eze and given the choice I think long term this season LW is probably more critical and Savinho has a massive potential upside.
Well if anything it will come down to money
We are happy buying right now players IMO if we can afford them
Eze is my priority because he plays left and central… is more proven and cheaper and is a better player imo all round

If we get that Richarlison every week then yeah.

But it usually only lasts for 2-3 games. Here’s hoping TF turns the lightbulb on.

At least we looked a good side - any possible incoming players should see our potential from that performance.

Hopefully the drop in quality after the subs gets Spurs to focus on signing 2 more players.

In truth it wasn’t just the subs that turned the game it was a mentality too. Hoofing the ball up field when we could have held and passed the ball. But without our senior players no one wanted the ball. I hope we can change that mentality. So close and credit to the team.

Football fans will comment on what they see, but nobody deserves abuse.

However, I’m pretty comfortable in saying I haven’t seen any tools that I think will make him a success in the premier league, apart from the fact he has a really good attitude.

He had about 15-20 games last season and in his highlight reel when signing permanent there was a real lack of actual quality moments. Maybe I’m forgetting some.

He did have a really good spell at Bayern but I’m not seeing electric pace, nor skill like Kudus, nor any good finishing. His use of the ball has been ok.

I’m unsure what sort of winger he is. Because from what I saw last year he isn’t a striker either.

And let me reiterate - constructive criticism or discussion is fine. Abuse is not.

I've seen little moments from him that make me think there's something there. Not many, but there's been moments where he beats a man and whips in a ball that makes me think 'that takes skill'.

And frankly, those moments are more than what I saw from Kane at the same age - back then I thought Kane was a donkey who couldn't finish his dinner, never mind do what he has gone on to do.

The thing Kane had that elevated him beyond his limitations, was a good head on his shoulders - a relentless desire to take responsibility to improve himself.

Tel has that too - like I said, when the team were copping abuse from the away fans last season, he was the one stepping up to talk to them. Our senior players just ran. He stayed to talk to them.

Ultimately he may end up a success, he may not. But what I know for sure is, we don't have enough of a sample size to judge either way.

What pray tell would Johnson have done if he came on? He has no hold up game to speak of, can't dribble either. At best he would have done basically what Tel and Solanke ended up doing. I'm no fan of Johnson but that situation was not the time for him.
I would have him running at and behind their defense, make them turn - it was too easy for psg to play out and probe last 20 minutes.

For all Kudus and Richi's work, we had no one as a real goal threat, we look toothless up front. Hoping Dom gets fit quick and starts banging them in, even Tel.

He has earned that start
But solanke IMO was only ineffective because of fitness
Christ he is the best pressing striker in the country

The key was the players in attack just sat too deep. They sat a third back in our half
All teams do it
I don’t get it but it’s a tactical thing

As I said in my previous post. He looks to have a great attitude (based on what you mention - I spotted that too last season).

The fact he got on in front of WO and BJ says a lot about how Frank sees him.
