Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

Because she is a regular GB commentator and its clearly where we are as a nation and in many cases because of political rhetoric that these people feel they have to say these things. I think its a fairly common barometer of where this country is.........shamefully
No.
It's where we've always been as a nation - the racists now have platforms to be more widely heard. Twitter Vs the Dog n Duck are very different.
It's not representative of "the nation" either. Most people are not racist. Some people, are.

No you are right, its not the whole nation for sure, some good eggs out there still.

And I agree with the rest too. Twitter and anonymity online has allowed racism to be amplified

Completely disagree. Sunak is extremely competent where it matters: business and management of the economy. Before being in politics this is a guy that had billions of dollars under management globally for one of the world's largest investment banks.

He correctly predicted publically what would happen if Liz Truss got in and enacted her policies and he successfully stabilised the situation and he and hunt began to generate growth in the economy and a feeling of positivity in the economy and the UK in general.

He also correctly predicted what would happen if Labour got in and enacted their policies. Growth and confidence in the UK is flat-lining, confidence got shot by Starmer and Reeves doom and gloom and £22 billion black hole talk.

And unfortunately doing that talk and then: 1) whacking in an unaccounted for and not-in-manifesto NI rise
2) throwing around unfunded huge pay rises to public sector workers
3) rolling back benefit reform promises all of which led to....
a) eclipsing any "black hole" left by the last government and
b) led to some of the starkest analysis I've seen from the OBR and IFS on future state of public finances in a long long time.

If they dont arrest the current level of spending commitments or manage to boost growth considerably they're in an absolute bind:

But the markets have reacted to them already (at a slower pace than they did with Truss as the mask slipped at a slower pace as more and more bad decisions have been made) to the point where the "idiot premium" on UK bonds and stocks has pretty much gone back up to where they were post-Truss.

The other day you've had the boss of Lloyds basically stating that Reeves policies are "anti-growth" .......

A competent team doesnt lead to the chancellor crying on the front bench in front of the entire f*king world while the measly Starmer reads out the shredding of their flagship public finance reform policy in front of jubilant back bench rebels while also being unable to provide assurances as to the chancellors future under repeated questions from the opposition......it was a public and brutal humiliation for this country the likes of which I cant remember seeing in my lifetime...

I actually agree with you on Sunak’s competence, what he predicted as it relates to Truss and in managing a stable economy I agree he had it. But economics is not politics.

It’s a political choice to raise NI to spend more on the NHS. It was in dire straights. It’s a political choice to give pay rises to public sector workers. Because there were strikes constantly. Nothing worked.

I think Labour had to do certain things in this first year to get public services working to a passable degree again because the Conservative approach had completely run out of road. I also feel like not enough Labour back benchers understood the actual state of the public finances which is why the welfare bill had to be gutted. Or maybe they did understand it, they’d just be fine with more taxes, which they absolutely do not have a mandate for.

But that’s why I say above - I agree that Starmer has to deliver on growth in the next 4 years. I think it was a first year of doing unpopular things when he had no good options, to get services back on a passable footing. The next phase has to be growth. If it isn’t, Labour are done. So I’m waiting to see how they do.

Is she lying? Some residents don't agree on her take. But if she got elected i'm sure there are many that do.
People living on that street won't corroborate her story, the police haven't had the reports on crime she is describing on that street, even when canvassing door to door so yeh I suspect she is lying about this specific issue

Well if she is suing i guess the truth will come out in court.

Hahaha its ridiculous, who is she going to sue, her constituents because they won't back up her claims. Without their reports and the Police reports unless she has been staking out the place on her own at night, you have to wonder where she got her info from

No idea. But we saw the lies in epping. Antifa bussing in then saying they were local residents. Police even giving them lifts in their vans. Which they said they didn't do. But it was caught on camera.

They weren’t bussed in. Escorted from the station yes but not bussed. Even Farage had to concede he got it wrong (or “a slight inaccuracy”).
Some of the protesters were driven back to the station. Crowd control I would assume.

Like the majority of every protestor in any protest ever.

I imagine the football first mob who spend all day p1ssing on the streets of London when coked of their t1ts all come from somewhere for the day

Anyway the point is, it seems fairly ridiculous to say "I am going to sue" because your constituents won't back up your claims that their area is a sh1thole.........than again she has form

There’s a huge difference between making their own way to Epping and then the police escorting them to an area where they are not mixing with the hotel protesters compared to saying they were “bussed in” which implies the police were complicit in organising for them to be there.

I didn't say the police bussed them in. They did get lifts in police vans though.
