I'm here watching the positivity from Thursday just evaporate in the stadium. People are leaving. You can't switch performances on and off. Standards should be higher than that and the manager should be better than that.

And fine. Whine away. I think it's hilarious that if someone makes mention of the whining (and by proxy, the repetition of facts and situations which have been in play all season) then it is considered egregious!

It's as predictable as today's 'performance'...we've even been treated to GB floating out the (impossible) recalling of saviours Donley or Devine, plus Danish basically saying he hates anyone who doesn't want Postecoglu's blood spilt now! Vintage stuff, only been seeing it for months!

If it was brick with no context I'd have a far greater issue. But there's lots of context. Not that anyone gives a fudge.

What's the context?

What makes this performance any different from the rest of them this season. I wouldn't even say we're playing any worse than usual. It's not that we've rotated and there's a dip in performance, this is what we've served up all season.

I see it quite simply really. If we were doing well there would be oodles of praise and pages and pages of effusive commentary, but it's a continuum, for that level of praise to exist there has to be the possibility of the opposite. For all the times things are going well there will be an equal amount of criticism when it is failing.

Now you may well want to be Mr Ever Positive or even Mr Find the Context that Soothes the Pain and that is entirely your prerogative, but that doesn't work for me because I don't really believe in excuses. Especially when Ange has negated the vast majority of them himself.
 
I am thankful for his corner leading to the goal in midweek but Tel is distinctively average. If we activate the transfer in the summer then we only have ourselves to blame for how things are

Nobody is excusing anything, but how many fudging times can the same thing be said over and over again?

Here's the facts.
We are trying to guard as many as possible for one game.
We are brick in the league.
The reality is we have one game left which matters; I agree we should try to win every game we play, however the truth is, 'victory' against Palace and Villa will be avoiding serious injury.

As for the 'money spent' yeah I get it, having spent many thousands and thousands over the decades to witness some awful performances, I absolutely know how it feels.
 
I don't understand that in a match thread during the game what we're meant to discuss if not the performance and others coming up.

South is half empty btw

Yeah I didn't really understand all the praise he was getting. I still haven't really seen anything to justify the price tag. He may well turn out to be a top player, but he's hardly a top talent as it stands and he's another player for a position we are already very well stocked in.

Odobert primary plays on the left, on top of that we have Son, Soloman and Moore. Do we really need Tell who hasn't even impressed?

TBF he hasn't been up to it since he has been here. We need players who have the quality that you can at least see the green shoots from. I am all for giving players time but I just don't see where the quality is with him, thats before you talk about his massive lack of pace
