U23s, Academy and Loanees

Could someone shed some light on this please, i’m sure i didn’t imagine it but apparently i must have. Did we have a youth team that were top after the final game of the season but had to play second place United in a play off game? United beat is and won the league even though we finished top? This would have been a while ago, maybe when we had Poch as the gaffer?

We won the PL2 playoffs last season. It's similar to the European cups from what I can see as you only play some of the teams in the league phase.

Yes the league is run in 2 parts, after 20 games the top 16 go into a knock out level, this changed recently but I think there has always been a play off eliminate to it.
