Tom Franks Brentford just beat Iraola's Bournemouth away at Bournemouth, coming back from falling a goal behind. So, an interesting decision to be made for those looking for the next Spurs manager already.

He is one of the most likeable managers out there
But there is a reason he is always overlooked when the top jobs come up

He's basically Nuno isnt he?
i think nuno is more defensive and presses in a low to mid block while franks presses higher and has more variation in play.
franks will suit our team quite well imo. i'm confident he will utilise our players much more efficiently and get them playing at their strengths better than ange.

i believe franks will get us into europe but not sure if he's good enough once we're there

Poch played 3atb for part of the 16/17 season - Dier at CB with both Wanyama & Dembele in CM - other times he played as you described, think it was a pretty even split last time I checked

Such a shame we never got to find out the rest of the story. Toby and Wanyama injury woes in the 17/18 season meant that the Jan/Dav partnership had to form quickly and Dier had to be deployed back in midfield.

Dier had his own long term injury/illness around that time didn't he?

ange is finished
international break ahead and he starts out resting son and maddision
then chooses to rest romero when he was looking great, and even worse, puts grey there instead of vdv

all this when davies was the rustier compared to both - and eventually made the mistake for fulhams 2nd goal

clueless, delusional and stubborn - we can't and shouldn't hang on to him any longer.

I wouldn't make a decision based on one game. I'm still in the Iraola camp as being the best fit. It will be interesting to see where Bournemouth finish the season.

Who are the hottest prospects around Europe now? Might add a poll, but need some names to go with the usuals like Iralola, Silva, Frank, McKenna, Poch.

Terzic is available. I guess we'll get a closer look at Toppmöller in a few weeks.

I still think Emma Hayes has to be in the conversation

Surely later right?

I think it was when Trips was hiding the abdominal / groin issues and Winks may have had the first ankle injury issue. I thought it was before Dier had the appendix out and the year of immune system related issues. At least in my head the 17/18 season was when Jan and Dier held the fort together whilst the core around them were falling apart.

After posting this I'll have to go and check. You're probably right :)
