Wilson Odobert

From the little i have seen of him he looks a dangerous player, willing to run at players and take them on. Lets hope he can stay fit for the rest of the season. Defenders hate playing against players that can go both ways and he seems to have that ability.

Has an intriguing game
Got to be pleased with the goals
Shame the left side was so limp in comparison
For to work out how to not smother that space because when we didn’t we created that third goal

Completely forgot we had Tel on the bench too. What a game from Wilson though.

Really dont know why we take 45 mins or so to get going though.
Specifically for this game didn't think we was bad in the first half personally and grew into it. But regardless, they were setup to get practically all men behind the ball as soon as we had it due to them leading the tie. It was always going to be tough until we got the first goal and then they had to open up a bit....

So happy for him. Hopefully gives him (and us) a big boost going into the remainder of the season and pre-season.

I was especially happy for him that he got to erase any unfortunate memories from the goal we conceded (which was Bergvall's fault, but still...)

The effort was there from the start as @harr1984 mentioned. Things certainly helped once we went ahead and they felt the need to go for it a bit more.

I would say our attacking movements can look quite 'ploddy' and less coordinated than what would be expected, but the main thing yesterday was to just get through. All praise to the attackers, especially Odobert

I guess you're right. It wasnt awful, but the first goal does make the game. I cannot recall them threatening us much if anything in the first half. I just hate blockers, its negative football. Which then fudges up our football and I get frustrated. I thought our play was supposed to beat every team but I imagine it's pretty difficult unless they all charge us and press quickly which is what I guess our system wants the opposition to do, rather than sit back with 9, 10 men behind the ball?

Anyway, this is about Wilson and he was excellent. I do think we have missed that type of player as we dont really have that other than Moore?

You beat a team 1 nil or 10 nil, it’s still a win
The key is teams who pack the defence are harder to beat by default
Thats standard

2 goals playing on the wrong side

Summer needs to get us a quality RW, so he can play on his natural side.
That's not as easy as it looks, given inverted wingers.

Most right footed players, 'natural side' is on the left.
So a left footers natural side will be on the right BUT will want to cut in.

Perhaps a mind blowing development would be to coach a right footed player to play on their true (for 95% of the history of football) natural side, the right.
