OMT ** Tottenham Hotspur v AZ 13.03.2025 **

We don't keep clean sheets and we are already a goal down. Can i see us winning 2-0? nope, it does seem like scoring 3 goals minimum will be needed to win this match. I can't lie I have no confidence. Its not beyond the capabilities of this squad, but I can't say I quite believe we have the tactical acumen to approach this match in the manner necessary to win it.

Fair enough to think that way and I'm not particularly confident for this game in general, can only be hopeful.

But we kept a clean sheet at home to these guys with a CB partnership of Dragusin and Davies. In the away leg regardless of performance the only goal we conceded was a freak Bergvall own goal. It's hardly beyond the realm of possibility to keep a clean sheet against them....

Sorry but I have a ticket for this game and my last was the 0-0 draw with AC Milan when we went into that game in the same scenario as this (albeit one competition down). Therefore we're going to draw 0-0 and I'll get boo'ed.

I’ve been to 3 games this season.

4-0 win v Everton
4-1 win v Villa
4-3 win v United

If Levy had any sense he’d have me there in top tier hospitality as a guest of the club on Thursday.

Was about to say this exact team, but I've just seen Danso is out. Realistically Ange would have probably started Romero anyway and that surely is what it will be now.

The only one he might not risk is Gray in midfield, but given how brick every other CM bar Bergvall has been, that would be an error. They've been two of our best players of the season at 18 years old, this is our biggest game of the season, they've earned the right to win it for us. Good chance Bentancur starts instead though.

The only other question mark is Johnson in for Odobert, but Odobert has been lively and deserves a chance even if he's not produced much so far. Also, Son is Son and has to start, and we can't afford two passengers. Plus if we need a goal a fresh Brennan will be very handy coming off the bench, moreso than Odobert. (Which is also why I think anyone who wants to sell him is mad - surely he would be a great squad player even if he's not good enough to start?)

true to our yoyo form - we will win this convincingly and then lose the next PL league game with levy and ange out chants

son and maddison make a good pair - not true angeball believers - but can create some magic together if they dare to do their own thing.

will ange at least try to make these two central to the way we play ? angeball doesn't work in the epl and he is beginning to look like the fool for not giving it up.

Yeah, doubt he'll risk Gray in midfield now if he has more centre half woes. Looks like Danso is out and we know that the first choice pairing don't have 90 mins behind them yet. They've only just started their re-introduction into the team. Davies will be the same if available.

I'm thinking Gray might even start at centre half.

Suspended so it'll be Bissouma.
Gray next to Van der Ven as Danso is now injured ffs
