It helped that on the occasions he did drop deep son stayed out wide, allowing dele and to lesser extent lamela to get in the box and they weren't all tripping over each other.

Watching him last night he and Alli dovetail quite a lot and we have missed that so far this season.

I couldn’t disagree more with Kane becoming a Sheringham esc player as he gets older, I think he would be better suited to just becoming a out and out poacher/target man almost Shearer esc, he would still get 20-25 goals a season into his 30s, he would offer more to us that playing deeper.

I don’t like him deep either, he’s a lethal finisher, was no need to ever fudge with him or Dele’s positions. That has been one factor in our drop in levels over the past 18 months. Kane 9 Dele 10. Leave it at that.
