Final points tally - which often gets used - is skewed (and never reflected on) by three points for a win only being introduced in 1981, and similarly the number of top flight teams being reduced from 22 to 20 in 1994
Old football was a bit different though - even the double winning side lost 7 league matches (the same as us last season). Away results used to be much harder to come by

That is fudging magnificent. Barely caught two words in a row in fairness, but got the gist anyway.
The only bit he skirted around is why he thinks the players mentioned aren’t happy at Spurs. It’s not because they aren’t playing - it’s because they are playing, are playing bloody well, and therefore want paying the going kings ransom as a result.
Everyone knows why Vincent Jansen might be unhappy and wants to move! It’s Toby, Dembele and Rose who are unsettled for their reason - which are more ‘interesting’.
(It’s also a good side product of the fact the press have been forced to slow down on selling Kane and Alli every alternating week)
Loved that he said he’s just tired of it all and wants to enjoy the football. Nail on head! Sky’s relentless reporting of transfer news (and need to create news when none is happening organically) has created a bloody monster.
