Youth Players/On-Loan Thread 2020/21

I know lots of us are missing going to matches but I'm going to miss watching our youth teams, this is going to be the first season in over 20 years I dont watch them

I disagree these games are for the benefit of the club and players and they need to be seen by a sympathetic audience rather than people who condemn the slightest error and write players off after 2 or 3 poor performances. As I'm sure negative comments will soon find their way on to social media and young players would see them.

Does anyone remember Yannick Kamanan and Souleyman Coulibaly? They were supposed to be the next best thing scoring goals for fun in friendlies and champions league youth games.

I always like looking up players like that on wiki - potential world-beaters as you say but then end up travelling the globe playing for more and more obscure teams and odd locations

Having worked in youth football for years i can honestly say the vast majority of " great prospect" "star of the future" " the next big thing" etc,etc, usually end up fading away and dropping down the ladder of football.

Its what happens and why so many of the young players drop of the radar.

I saw both Yaninck was by far the better of the two, he had a good technique and was aware of the game, Coulibaly was very raw and only passed if there were no chance of him having a shot.

Maybe im a hopless romantic but i would love it if binks and that chap at psv come back one day.
